    For sale from my White 458 Spider.

    List price was $13K plus $2K to prime and paint in white.

    Will sell for $9K. Excellent condition and located in Redwood City, CA. (located at GT AutoConcepts)
    and also the CF lock with Spider emblem. List $590 and will sell for $350

    The engine hood or engine bonnet for the 458 Spider is fully engineered, designed and manufactured by CAPRISTO. Made of 90% Carbon Fiber and 10% Glass, the hood is manufactured in true German draftsmanship, and living up to the CAPRISTO "savoir-faire".

    This hood was slightly modified to the original. Two more vents were added to facilitate heat release from the engine bay and a nice glass insert was added to give the rear of the 458 Spider a very different appearance than with the standard engine cover. The glass is tempered and up to DOT and other Transportation Authorities Standards (See TUV Certification).Designed and CNC'd out of a block of aluminum to ensure a 100% perfect fit, the hood was made in an autoclave to ensure maximum strength and lightness.

    No worries. Thank you for getting back to me. My Spider won't come off the line until March so I have plenty of time. Figured it was something weird. Its better it stays with the car anyway since they have to be fit to the car specifically as Erik tells me. Beautiful spec by the way!

    How did you like the exhaust setup? Was it worth it or did it make it obnoxiously loud and take away from the ride enjoyment?

    Frank, love the exhaust but then again I love loud ! some people just too loud but then again why you have the valve remote . so I could go quiet or loud.

    Stock to me is nice but just never does it for me.

    We always try to push our clients to spend the extra $650 for the remote, it is a great feature if you ever need to quiet the beast. haha

    yes Fred i am working on that stuff for the Speciale.

    Erik,

    Yeah had it on my California. Awesome to have when you want it loud. I love the sound as well but sometimes need to hear it purr. The 68 Shelby i own is so loud you need earbuds in for anything more than 20 minutes or you go deaf.

    Algar is putting on the remote on my new Spider when it comes in. I still need to get with you regarding the bonnet and the full exhaust and other goodies. Dont know if you recall talking with me last week. Might just ship it down, fly in and drive the crap out of it home and make a week of it.

    Fred, thanks for the input. The Ford GT wasn't that bad sound wise but with an open top 458 it might get to be too much. Gotta thrash it first to see.

    Yes i remember. sounds good. Just let me know we will arrange everything, I have all the exhaust parts for the F458 in stock and most of the carbon, if i dont have it then its on my inventory order and i should have it soon enough.
