    Thanks!
Can't comment on that because I did not do it. I can say the clutch is new and we had the dealer go through everything and it is a very nice car....

Pretty easy to do in parking lots if you don't trust the auto-throttle.

It hurts me to say that unfortunately this car will most likely never really be driven as it was built to do. Great example though!

    I agree.

I bet this car will pop up at an auction in 10 years and still have less than 1k miles.

    :(

    Really pretty car.

Did any have front lifts in them? My friend with one says its a real issue driving as there is NO clearance. I thought it became an option later?

Now 10 years from now, which would be the better investment? This or a '73 RS touring (which would cost a bit more)

CGT's did not come with lifts on them. However, people have installed lifts such as KW, etc.

WOW, awesome car but also an awesome(as in high) price.

Do you speak from experience??? I sincerely hope not as that would have been an extremely expensive 9 seconds...OUCH!!!

I really cannot understand why certain owners of these cars do not trust the auto throttle on starts. As long as you are slowly releasing the clutch it should be a no-brainer.

And be on its third or fourth clutch.

I don't think you'd lose either way, unless you put miles on the Carrera GT. Odometers don't matter much on vintage cars, which might sway me to the 911 RS if I wanted to drive it.

This thread is the first time I have heard of a lift system for this car.

The thing I think the CGT really has going for it is that I think it is going to be the last super car from Porsche with 3 pedals :)
A CGT clutch can last a very long time they all just don't go out in a few miles.......

It's not that expensive when you compare it to CGTs with miles in the xxxx range. They usually go for $350k to $400k depending on the color. So it's a 25% premium to have a new CGT. Not bad.

The is no way a new clutch would be needed in a 600 mile car unless some one really abused this car. I have 6000 miles on my car on it's first clutch with no issues. On Jay Leno Garage, Jay indicated that the clutch is very durable even after many hard starts. I guess it could also be a factory defect.
