Very nice looking car with a super color scheme. This is what you get when you go for non- standard colors -- ZERO resale value for what you paid. Some Silicon Valley venture capitalist just lost his lunch money for the week.


What the heck is a "dual front view camera system"? Old school was just looking out the windshield.

 

A camera mounted in the front bumper that has split screen capability. One mode is looking straight ahead. The other is a view of the corners, evidently to enable to see if you are going to clear when parallel parking.

The idea is that with a hood the length of an aircraft carrier you need guidance. Actually the standard beepers give a very good idea of how you are doing so this is completely unnecessary.

Given that you are going to be faced with big depreciation in these cars, especially if you really use them, the way to go is to avoid all these big ticket options. The car as it comes is decked out very nicely with standard equipment you have to order in say a 458. A few extras that you really want and you are done for a mere $315K or even a little less. It is an extraordinary vehicle and may be the one Fcar that is actually worth its price.

 

Its funny that one of the most important options - the sport exhaust system - is so relatively inexpensive - how does it sound?

 

It's cosmetic. It is only an inner metal tube that fits inside of the exhaust tips. That's why it's cheap.

I actually took in the sound of FFs side by side with and without the "sport exhaust." It seemed to me that they were virtually the same. If anything the "without" sounded slightly more aggressive.

WOW! The original owner took over 50% depreciation on this car. That could be a record.

Wish I knew him/her, I would have beat the dealer's offer at that price.

 

I was offered a similar ($401,000 list) 2012 with 1900 miles a year ago for $299,000 so looks about $50,000 reduction for a year

 

I was offered a similar thing for 265 last year. FYI.

Is it a former dealer demo at all? Not dogging on the car, just I seem to recall other cars with this high of spec that were demos to showcase all the latest and greatest options and features with the FF.

 

what i find most amusing is that this 400k FF comes with the same head unit in the Dodge Challengers SRT8 2011-2014.

 

What roof does this have?

 

As you can see in the pictures it's the standard roof (i.e. no glass roof). The headliner is finished in semi analina leather.
