this car is ver similar, but doesn't have the "deadness" of the daytona inserts:

i have seen a good number of very late dino's have the "badge-bar", i sthere any reason to this that i am unaware of?

my very late dino doesn't have one, but i find it more than coincidence that so many late production, us spec cars tend to have them.

My US spec '74 GTS came with the aerodynamic rather than round badge bar.

This car was sold about 4 months ago on ebay By Chequred Flag in Marina Del Ray. It was a very original car that I believed got a good detail done to it. I spoke to the owner at the time it spent most of its life in Reno , Nv. and no real mechanical work was done. It looks great in Black, I would change the carpets to one color, though. And probably re-do the seats in all black.

If I remeber correctly Neil @ CF wanted 170-175 but settled on 165k.

Looking past the seats, this car is very, very impressive - all US smog items are fully intact including the R2 switch on the aft cam bank, the fuel tanks are the correct beige color of coating, fresh looking overflow tank and heat exchanger, rust free pulleys, and proper non-gloss roof.

The more I look, the more I like and the more work I see that someone with a great eye for detail accomplished. Is this a Carl Steuer of Black Horse restoration? I was periodically at his shop over several months while he did David Steele's platinum winning ground up restoration (featured on the cover of Forza magazine last year) and learned a lot from him.

The cross section of the badge bar is not round but more like an airfoil.
