The mirrors are not stock, right? And there doesn't appear to be any radiator foam. And the weatherstripping in the A-pillar seems to be ripped. Or it's a strange looking shadow.

Whatever. I'm all for seeing the value of our babies go up.

The horizontal black piping on the door interior is nice, but I'm not sure it is original.

There are several other 246 GTS cars priced in this month Hemmings, one even at $210K.

I also noticed she doesn't have the Pininfarina badge. Did all Dinos have this badge?

I’m no expert…just observant & have a pretty darn original Euro GT to compare with. My observations could certainly be wrong. Feel free to add/delete/correct. I just think that this is far from a perfect car & the price seems, shall we say, premature? What do I know? Maybe the market is ready for THIS car at THIS price. Good for all of us if it is!

    Here’s my take:
Poor fit of bonnet and left door
    Wrong mirrors—big-time
Rear bumper recessed pockets painted black
Two bottom holes for Euro plate filled with bolts (tacky on a high-dollar car)
Small tubular weather strip in door jams – haven’t seen that before
Wrong steering wheel? (Some had holes in spokes, some were solid, but all were brushed aluminum/silver - - not black anodized)
    Wrong clock
Wrong mouse fur (shade & texture don’t look right)
    No cigarette lighter
Door edge lights missing black gaskets
Modern radio (seems out of place on a top-dollar car, but not a show stopper)
Wrong key fob & Cavallino Rampante mats
Unknown object hanging under dash near steering column
Front fender side marker lights missing (holes filled)
Possibly wrong color turn indicator lenses – amber was generally for UK
Missing gaskets in turn indicator lenses
Unknown object hanging down under left front bumper
Car sits too high, esp in back?
Rad cap probably should be 2-ear type
Missing “alta tensione” sticker on air box
Rust on head studs & nuts & other fasteners
    Wrong nut on air cleaner
Non-matching knurled nuts on air box (although mine don’t match, either)
Wrong nut & has bolt on distributor where stud & nut should be
    Wrong fuel hose
    Generally untidy engine compartment
    Non-original exhaust
    Rust on frame
Headlight covers (only dealer installed on UK cars?)
    XWXs are old & cracked
    Wrong wheel bolts
Dirty & rusty spare tire compartment
    Unknown relay between fuse boxes
    Wrong valve stem on spare

There may be other stuff, too. Jump in!

And, yes, the Pininfarina badge is missing on the right flank (correctly missing on left side)

OK, since I’m on a roll, how about the silver ’73 Euro GTS in Hemmings @ 160K? The car looks a lot cleaner under the skin than the red ’72 at Cars With Class, but does seem to have the following ‘shortcomings:’

Missing the black paint under nose, tail, sills
Silver top…’thought they were all black to start with, but have seen several in body color
Cavallino Rampante in the grille is novel, but…
The turn signal lenses probably should be white (having said that, my Euro car's are old & amber)
    Signal lense gaskets missing
Side marker lights look like the slightly larger ones of a 308, 400, Boxer, ?
Again, ‘thought the headlight covers were UK dealer installed
Non-XWX tires (I recall that the community agreed on desirability of XWXs, esp on a top-dollar car)
Wrong wheels (close, but no cigar)
    Wrong valve stems
Wrong center caps with Cavallino Rampante
Correct spare wheel, but don’t recognize the Michelin
Shouldn’t the finish on carb air box be satin?
Missing “Alta Tensione” sticker on air box
    Smooth breather hose
    Rad cap (2-ear more period-correct?)
Aftermarket muffler (this looks like stainless & missing ANSA stickers)
Fairly modern radio (not wrong…just not period-correct)
This car, and the red one in Cali, is missing its foam seal between bonnet & radiator

That’s enough for the first pass. If there’s more, or if I’ve erred, let’s share the learning experience.

I don't quite understand what you mean by "Signal lense gaskets".
Are these on the front, side, or rear?

    Hi.
'sorry about my terminology in my previous posts. I'm referring to the white rubber gasket, or seal, that surrounds each of the lenses on the flush-mounted position and direction lights on the nose of Euro/UK cars. I didn't pay much attention until I saw them on the Superformance site & the factory body parts catalog. Since they are white, they are quite visible with most of the Dino colors (of course, they blend in with the white lenses, but really contrast with the amber ones). And, since they are not visible on many of the non-USA Dinos I've seen, they may be missing. Mine are.

Thanks for keeping me on my toes. As I said, this is a learning experience.

I paid around £10.00 each for mine from www.eurospares.co.uk. having said that there is a dino on their home page and they're missing on that!

    Cheers, Al Cowan.
You've shown me the light regarding the tubular weatherstrip. I just checked my car and found the remnants of it...them! Each runs just the length of the sill plate. A PO must have trimmed them flush with the back end of each plate. 'gotta add a couple of these to my wish list.

"Outer door trim seal #0200304 (per door) 4903F £16.50"
(By the way, I don't hold any Superformance stock! I'll bet some of the other vendors can help us out, too.)

I'm learning; I hope everyone else is.
    Thanks to all.

i have two original "chairs" cars and neither has the door panels in this configuration. i won't say that it isn't factory, but it sure as hell isn't part of the chairs option.
