Hey, how's life with the Formula cars?

I did Skippy at Homestead this winter and thought it was a gas. Love those Formula Whatevers that Skippy has been running forever.

I'm finally running the 944. DE this season, 944 Cup starting next year. The car is 20 years old, has a wheezing engine, gutted interior, R-compound tires and a killer suspension that cost twice what I paid for the car. Runs. On. Rails. :D

Stay in touch. Remember, Ferrari ownership is like herpes. You only think it goes away.

    All best,

    Ron

Was being slow and it was my very first 2 days in the car, did a slow 2:07.5 at WGI long course. Can easily get that down to 2:03 or lower, though was really just trying to get a feel for the car and wanted her in one piece. Fun car, lots of potential and many tweaks to be enjoyed.

Nice, congrats! Yeah, they were probably the Dodges, though think they are migrating to the Mazdas.

Paid 2x for suspension LOL because i KNOW the feeling :) Know a few guys who run their 944 (turb'ed and non) and are having a blast! Enjoy and glad to hear you are out there doing it.

LOL! Well, sorry and all but when this car goes that is it. No love loss, trust me. It is not the car, it is other factors...

Am in no rush, mind you, to sell it and if the car is here for three more years that is fine with me. Heck, it is the most fuel efficient vehicle in my stable so she is great for long mundane trips, getting groceries and such. Very reliable, handles great rain or dry so not too bad making the 308 kinda like a 'beater car' per se until someone wise wakes us and realizes this baby can purr.

Still plan to adjust the valves and if she is here might do the Supercharger as it is cheap to do. The way she is now is PERFECT for a 308 lover who also wants to enhance their track skills. She is very safe for newbie yet has plenty of potential and once the SC gets in her by me or the new owner... :)

NOTE: am not checking Fchat on any real basis other than for replies to my ad, sorry. Best bet is to contact me directly from the site link below. Have little time for the fchat eCircus as do the VCs guys i hang with. Sorry and all, my time is best spent elsewhere and wish everyone on Fchat the best.
