I'm most of the way through an F1 to manual conversion on my car so I've been spending quality time underneath it....today I noticed the plastic filler neck resting against the fasteners of an AC line. I pushed the neck away from the pipe and there is rubbing damage on the neck. Probably going to replace it just to be sure.

Frightening -- this isn't directly above the headers, but it's close. I zip-tied a piece of rubber to the neck to create a cushion between the parts. Is this really how these cars came from the factory, with sharp metal parts sitting in direct contact against a thin plastic fuel filler tube? Good lord.
