i've to replace the fuel filter in my '80 308 carb.

I read all the posts related and i suppose it's a kind of yoke.
    Two questions :

    - the black cap unscrews normally clockwise ??
    - the central screw ( 3 ) remove the filter but what is the function of the others two?? ( see picture)

    thanks

Don't touch 1 & 2. Just 3. Drain fuel from the fuel tank lower crossover pipe first, or you will get soaked in gasoline, and always use new copper crush washers.

I'm guessing it has to do with air bleeding and/or pressure relief. Unscrew #2 just as you would a normal bolt head. You'll find that it's a long skinny bolt that runs down through the entire filter and threads into the end of the black housing. Sometimes the rubber gasket gets stuck in the filter housing lid; don't forget to pull it out and replace (new one comes with the filter).#2 actually looks like one of the carb adjustment screws, so possibly adjusting/metering flow?

No problem. Also, no matter what you do, the filter housing will be full of gas, so have a container ready underneath it, and put out your cigarette first:)
