Hello can anybody advise of where this fuel filter may be found? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This may help. MANN-FILTER Online Catalogue Europe - Dimensions Select "fuel filter" in drop down Select "filter element" in drop down Fill in dimensions Other brands may have a similar search. Or you could find the Mann number and convert to whatever brand you prefer. If this is a filter for a Ferrari; Mann filters also has filter listings for Ferrari. You can search for Ferrari on this same web site. Hope this helps, Jerry
Thanks but it looks to me like MANN doesn't have that many options in its lineup? I wasn't able to find anything remotely close...
Bummer. Places like NAPA or other independent parts stores used to have what was called a Master Parts List or Master Parts Catalog by part manufacturer. The catalog had a listings by size, dimensions, etc. You might try to find a Master Catalog by manufacturer, i.e., Fram, Wix, Baldwin, on the internet, or go to a parts store and see if they have one you could look at. Most of the counter help at parts stores like AutoZone, O'Reilly, etc. won't take the time to look up something like that, or don't know how. Good luck, Jerry
UFI...I can get the catalog number for the 308, I have it on my shelf at home. I agree NAPA is the best at figuring out something wierd, just plonking it on the counter...
Throw us a bone and at least tell us what year/car/model it is for! T. Rutlands usually has them. The original filters had a collar around the side opposite the spring, but the modern replacements available today usually lack that collar. The new ones work, but they are a little more difficult to get centered when installing. Photos of an original filter and a modern replacement are below (note lack of collar in second photo). The filters shown are for a '66 330. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you but these are *huge*. It shows 2.5+ inches for each dimension side of each of these, whereas the one I need are around 1.5"...
These look like they may work?... The car is a 1979 Lamborghini Countach, but it shares parts with the Ferraris, and especially the Fiats of the period!
Interesting. It looks correct, but really difficult to tell without dimensions. One thing very cool is that this one actually has the collar around the rubber seal (at least it appears to have the collar in the photo, though they warn that the item may not match the photo).
I ordered one of these filters from Centerline (hoping it has a collar as it is shown in the photo) -- I will let you know what the dimensions are when I receive it.
