I replaced a fuel line on my 1980 308 gtsi it wont start do I need to bleed the fuel line ?????
No need to bleed any of them. Maybe the line you replaced is not “open”. It would help if you could identity which line. Feed, return, WUR, injector. Depending on which line you replaced it could help solve your problem. Why was the line replaced?
Yes but that can be done by cranking it for a while. CIS fuel injection is literally a hydraulic system and air in it has the same effect as air in a brake system. Difference being a brake system will not bleed itself. CIS fuel injection will. After air is introduced it will not restart as easily but with enough cranking it will restart, possibly run rough for a minute or two until the air is purged and it will return to normal on its own.
FWIW if you had one leaking line the rest are sure to follow. Replace them all in my opinion. Just saying.......
