    Can anyone please advise how to connect the fuel level sender, should I connect the purple wire to the left sender or to the right? What about the pink wire?

    Just by the way they have their bent for beeing in place for all those years it look like the pink goes on top and the purple goes on the lower on the picture..

    It's not critical if you get it wrong (nothing will blow-up). If wrong, the gas gauge will read max or min depending on fuel level, and the fuel warning light will glow a bit (again depending on fuel level) -- if so just switch them.

    But are there no markings at all on the sender face by the terminals?

    I can see W mark on the top pink and T mark on the lower pink
