Yes, took pics (obviously not good enough ones). Yes, made index marks (wiped away during cleaning). Searched did not find it. Searched the '81 Parts Cat and Mondial 8 Shop Manual I have, again No Luck.

I am changing out my fuel injector lines (you should do the same if you have not as I found 3 cracked ones in BEAUTIFUL looking 27 yr old lines).

    FLAME Suit On !!!!!

Anyway, I accept our party's nomination for Fuel Line Bone Head of the Year. :(

I took all the lines from the fuel distributor to the injectors off at the same time, not one-at-a-time (long story). All the other lines are Ok as I did them one-at-a-time.

Anyway I am not 100% sure of the correct location of about 5 of them. A couple could be fairly easily switched. Can anyone tell me, by cylinder number, where each injector line attaches to the fuel distributor on an '81 GTSi NA? I am assuming NA and US models are the same. As a reference to the fuel distributor let's use me looking at it from the rear of the car. 12 O'Clock is the front of the car I am standing at 06:00.

I COULD be incorrect but I think 308's "split" the fuel distributor in half 12:00 to 06:00 with all lines on each side of that divide going to one bank. 328's I think "split" the fuel distributor 03:00 to 09:00 with each side of that divide feeding each cylinder bank. I could have that backward, however.

ANY HELP would be VERY APPRECIATED!

    THANX in ADVANCE :)

P.S. You cannot imagine how dirty, greasy and rusty fuel injectors get after 27 years ! Surprised the car even ran.

It does not matter, put them where you get the best fit. All the ports on the fuel distributor flow the same amount all the time, they are not pulsed like ignition or electronic systems. Feel free to contact me if you need more help.

Here's the US 328 order that someone posted earlier which matches what you posted for 328 (although the 5-8 bank aren't in numerical order):

That's because it doesn't matter. It's CIS, they all flow equally and continuously.

BTW that's not a US spec. DOT/EPA approved plug in the adjustment port..... (just kidding with ya)

Adam -- I know it doesn't matter functionally, but he asked for information (and even though it doesn't matter, I don't see why it would be so hard for one of you guys with the same year/model/version as Mark to help him).

    Huh?

How do they flow equally and continuously??? So you get the same flow at idle as at redline??? Can someone explain this please?

I think they are saying that they all flow the same at each throttle position..... that doesn't sound quite right but I think it is.

The injectors are not pulsed like EFI, they constantly spray varying amounts of fuel depending upon the amount of air the engine is ingesting. All injectors spray the same amount at the same time, but the amount they spray varies with the engine's needs. The fuel flow to the injectors is varied to regulate fuel delivery.

By contrast EFI injectors all have a constant high pressure fuel supply. The computer pulses them electronically to get them to squirt fuel. Longer pulses mean more fuel.
