Hi, Carbureted 400, LHD, we have a fuel leak coming from the driver's side foot well (fiberglass). There are fuel lines that appear to enter there prior to going back to the tank. We also have a leak back at the pump, but that's another story and looks easier. The one at the front looks typically inaccessible but before we start tearing into it has anybody replaced fuel lines before, and if so, what are the things to look out for? Thanks Carl
The back to front fuel lines were replaced on my car. John at GT Auto did it. I asked him how he did it. He told me he connected the new hose to the old hose and pulled it thru. My Dad was kind enough to replace all of the fuel lines in the trunk area. After taking the tanks out it wasn't too bad of a job. While the tanks are out it is a good time to clean and repaint the trunk. The tough part of the tanks is hooking up the pipe that connects to the two tanks. There is not a lot of space to slide the hoses on and then connect it to the tanks. I would highly recommend you get the gas lines fron Dave Helms (Boulder CO). He has the correct size hoses that are designed to stand up to the ethonal blended fuels.
