Good day members, As I am in for a long drive later this week I thought I'd top the car fully up from the jerry can I had in the garage. So when the fuel got visible in the filler opening I stopped and put the cap on. NO SPILLS around the filler ! But when pushing the car back into it's spot, I noticed a puddle of gas in the middle of where it was standing. looked under the car and indeed fuel was dripping out in the middle of the car and give-or-take where the belts for AC, waterpump etc. are running. Since it was too late to start any works, I put a pan underneath and left it. Two days later: no more dripping, all seems and smells normal. Quantity from the drip-pan: approx. 200ml. Question: Is there a overflow or something on these cars ? I have a US-spec. '92 T cab. (initially bought for Japan) I found the following diagram that clearly stated Mondial WITH catalist : Image Unavailable, Please Login However, I see no vents going anywhere, so one could assume the venting would be done through the filler cap, but that one does not have the ball and spring like many other cars do. It's a solid cap like the one for the oil filler. So here is another diagram I found, but it didn't clearly state T with catalist: Image Unavailable, Please Login Must be viewed from the right-back angle by the position of the filler neck. Now the only mid-position, high-up opening I would judge to possibly beeing the culprid is no.68 Before start dismanteling the lot though, could anyone tell me if I am going in the right direction? I can't imagine that Ferrari deliberately placed an overflow opening for gas somewhere in the engine compartment, so something must have broken. Best regards, Mondi Cab
Hello Mike32, Yes there is. Image Unavailable, Please Login But I didn't overfill in such way that it had flown out of the filler neck. I guess this drain is for rain water as well and goes down to the street longside the wheel arches. Mondi Cab
