    In the owners manual and other publications, the pump pictured appears to be the Bendix "Red Top" interrupter type. One inlet on the bottom, on outlet on the top on the same plane, a screw-on lower cover for the filter "stone", that sort of thing. Same thing as on my Giulietta Spider Veloce and all kinds of race cars we work on.

    On this very late car I'm looking at, it has the smaller "rotary" BCD-type electric pump. Smaller in diameter, inlet and outlet 90 degrees apart on the lower peripheral portion of the body, three screws from the bottom up securing the lower cover. Basically, the same type of pumps seen on the early carb 308's and (heaven forbid) Fiat 131 sedans.

    Is this right?
