About a month ago I was having a hot start problem, did lots of research and found that my accumulator was bad so I ordered that and a fuel filter. when the parts came in I went right to work and replaced the parts and pulled the fuel pump out and cleaned up things nicely. While I was at it I replaced every fuel hose and repacked my CV's.

So today I filled up the tanks and checked for leaks.........all looks good. I turn the key to position II and pull the safty switch and she (pump) starts pumping gas. I plug the switch back in and she shuts off like she is supposed to. Okay, now I crank the starter and she fires right up without a hitch! I put her back on the lift and check for leaks and everything is good. I take her for a nice long ride, about 1/2 hour. At the gas station I notice a weird sound coming from the fuel pump......kind of a metalic sound but it was for only a brief moment and it stops. I drive her for another 1/2 hour......everything working and sounding great when all of the sudden I lose power. So I coast to the nearest safe landing spot and start to try and figure this out.

Did the usual check to see if the Pump was working and I was NOT. I checked the fuse and relay and they were both fine. I even swapped out a relay I wasnt using to see if that might do it.......during this process I noticed that when I plug in the relay i can hear the Pump trying to engage but does not. I take the old trusty hammer and lightly tap it just incase something got stuck or something........sorry its how I fix things sometimes :D

I am thinking that I may be a bad Pump but didnt know if my friends here on the great FChat might have some ideas.
