    Hi,

I have a 246 GT with the double Bendix fuel pumps, however somebody removed the original fuel filter with glass bowl and replaced it for an inline Weber filter.

I now have a original filter (Fispa with glass) but don't know where I have to mount it.

Does anybody have a picture or knows where to mount the filter?

    Thanks,

    Charles Poelmans

The filter is close to the Bendix pumps.
The fuel line goes from the second pump 90 degree bended upwarts to the filter.
There is a metal braket with two threads for the screw fixation in the frame behind the seats which comes through the fiberglass sheet towards the engine compartment.
    Best visible from below.

    One more question.

I looked at the firewall and there is a rectangular hole about 20 cm above the chassistube ( the tube that runs straight from front to rear).

The hole is only in the insulation but there are no holes in the fiberglass.

Because of the support that is mounted to carry the pumps I guess that this car came with the double pumps. There was also 1 pump mounted but I want it to be original .

Is it possible to discribe exact where the filter is mounted?

I see you are from Germany, do you know where to get genuine Dino parts ( I'm also interested in 250 parts)?

    Hi Matthias,

Can you tell me whether the insulation (and top trim) on the firewall panel in the image is original, and what the panel is made from please.

I have noticed that some cars appear to have a smooth finish, some a kind of ripple paint (see image from a local car), and some appear to be a metal panel.

What was original, particularly for the E/ 02424.

    Thanks for your comments.

    Regards,
    Paul.

    Hello Paul,
no, it`s not original. The restauration of #01406 was done a couple of years ago and we had to replace insulation. So no panel.
Your picture looks pretty original to me. That`s what you should copy for #02424.
    Regards Matthias
