Kimi has said that it shouldn't suit the Ferraris. IMO it "looks" awful tight, especially the last section of turns. If that's the case I'll give the nod to the McLaren chassis. 1 Alonso 2 LH 3 Kimi
I just hate to have to agree with your post (nothing to do with you) From what I see here, this is what I gather Reality: Alonshole 1st LH 2nd Kimi 3rd (it may be the other way between kimi and lh) Everyones wish: Kimi 1st Massa 2nd Alonshole 3rd (well most of us would prefer if the McCheaters take each other out-no matter in which corner)
I don't know if this is really a Mclaren track like everyone says it is. It reminds me more of Bahrain (which Ferrari won) than Indy. Both tracks are very wide, the type of corners are very similar(tight corners on the fast side and fast sweepers), and both tracks have three distinctive flat out sections (which include very long main straights). I can see Ferrari being fastest from Coca-Cola Corner all the way up to Dunlop, the rest is a toss up I think.
I partly agree but it seems those lower speed corners with the tight radii are where the longer wheelbase Ferraris are going to lose a lot of time. I hope they design the F2008 with a more conventional wheelbase to better suit all the tracks, not just some of them.
So the next two will go to Lewis and Phil, so they go to Brazil with four drivers with four wins each? I don't think the sniper will be in Japan -- the Japanese like drivers who win at all costs. They loved Senna for his "crash or win" attitude, when he was banging wheels with Mansell. (Or because Senna was the guy tagged to teach Nakajima.) How's this for a script: The Fuji track suits the McRaris, so Alonso and Ham are row one -- and take each other out on lap one -- far enough ahead that it doesn't involve the Ferraris. Ron Dennis has apoplexy and has to be airlifted to the nearest padded room. Have you ever gotten tired of the same "press speak" from the teams? Ever want to see a driver just come out and say, "I think we're gonna get our butts kicked"? "For sure". (Thesauris aid for drivers: "certainly", "absolutely", "positively", ...) On a more serious note, being that this track is new to everyone, I'd expect to see some pit strategies that just don't work, and scramble the line-up. So I really hope Speed channel doesn't do their regular "pit stops are due -- let's go to commercials".
It will be an interesting weekend with the new track. I thought I heard during the last race on ITV that this track may favour the Ferraris more than the McCheaters. Its amazing that Japan now has 2 nice F1 tracks and the USA cant build 1 F1 track.
Suzuka GP was sponsored by Honda, Fuji belongs to Toyota. Toyota offered more $$$ to Bernie to host the GP.
...if theres that HUGE 85% prob of rain...this will be a nail bitter...no one knows the track and is rainy? ...then I´d go: 1.KIMMI 2.ALONSO 3.MASSA DNF.HAMILTON...not even riding on the crane
