Full repaint of a 360 spider

This seems way low! FOW has a 360 Modena that had a full body repaint from one of the better shops and I beleive they paid well north of $10k. Just having a bumper resprayed is in the $1k neighborhood. I had my E60 M5 hood resprayed and that was just over $1k.

I agree... $5K feels too low. If you want the repaint done properly, you'll want door jams, inside the hood and all the little places the factory color would show through to be repainted as well. It's these detail areas, masking (lots of masking) and quality prep-work and paint that will add up fast.

I've seen some really amazing non-factory colors on Ferraris on this forum. If you do decide to "go Lambo" on your Ferrari, please be sure to post some pictures.

i know premier charged 40 for repaint plus a bumper and 2 new wheels, so maybe Dave's at 30 for a repaint

 

I restore vintage Porsches... Without metalwork - I've paid $40K+ for paint on a very early, "important" car. With metalwork, interior, fabrication of missing parts, engine rebuild and casting of damaged parts - - $400K

Not sure how interested this shop might be in the job, but I would give Phaze II autobody a call. They are located in Westford, MA and do great work. 978.692.9459. Tell them Tim from Automotive Specialist told you to call. Shop is about 30 minutes from Worcester I would say via RT190, 290, RT2. Hope this helps.

Maybe, instead a repainting, you could do new wheels/tires, sport seats, killer exhaust, black out the tail lights, put some carbon fiber in the interior e.g., Macarbon steering wheel, cf paddles, door sills, aluminum dead-pedal. After doing all this you still might be able to save money over a repaint. While you're not really concerned with resale value, when you do decide to sell the car these additions likely won't hurt as much as non-Ferrari paint.

Also... if you want a really different and aggressive look, you could check out the Hamann website for body kits. Some pretty amazing stuff.

That is one beautiful car just like mine. I think it would be easier just to sell the car and get another one (except orange which is not factory) I love those seats, I have been looking at all the cars on Ebay for sale and non of them have the seats like that. Go with Hamann body kit, it's a great design upgrade.

Fwiw, Orange (i.e pumpkin) isn't going to match well w/ a tan interior. Black is another story (I had an Orange on Black Diablo 6.0).

 

if i had it I would do all the upgrades 360F1 mentioned minus the blacked out lights and put a CS kit on it with some 19-20" allows with polished lip....I wouldnt put the stripe on though, but thats my preference.

That seat/color combo IMO is too sick to mess with.

 

Yapp, $30K is what I heard Dave was charging for a full 430 spray. Some guy had it out in the dessert and got sandblasted. From what I was told, the job was going to get paid by insurance so I don't think the owner cared about the price. Five grand at Premier got me front and rear bumper plus rockers resprayed. That however was a friendship price given to Andy at BHCC (where I got my car). On my own I probably would have paid 8 to 9 grand at least.

I'm just wondering if its worth it for you Barry C. Why not trade the car in instead? Would seem to be more cost efficient.

Besides red on a Ferrari is a goregous colour except that it's so hard to keep clean and shiny.

Give KTR European Motorsports in Ayer, MA a call... They do quality work but I'm not sure what their prices are. I was getting the 575 a tune-up there and they were spraying a 355...
