So, we went out today and got a few tickets, but it was fun regardless. Anyone know a good lawyer?
lol-- Great time was had by all, can't wait to see the footage. The SL55 seemed to really surprise everyone out ther (including me)-- too bad we didn't break the posted speed limit of 65.
NO real details, some crazy stuff today though, we had an awesome time, 15 cars and 5 bikes showed up. only real exotics were the VT roadster and hutch though. Thanks for coming out guys I was kidding, no tickets were given, no one got pulled over. We just had an aweomse time. (as we always do) no flipped 348's or anything!
Read Noah's post entitled "Wacky Legal System" -- he posted the contact information of a terrific lawyer.
It was a gorgeous day for riding. Glad this went off for you without a hitch. PS - the detailing session was pretty much a bust. Didn't make it to the Conn concours, but the ride & friendship was fantastic, as always!
Hey guys I am new to thie community but wanted to meet up. I actually heard wind of the meet late Saturday night and planned to shoot up. But couldn't make it in the area till 10:30. Drove by but saw no one there =( I hope there will be another event in the future. Where did you guys end up going?
details.. no tickets.. rob needs a new clutch.. blue mach1 needs new tires.. rob thinks he beat the SL55 and kenny thinks he beat rob.. i think i beat the sl55 and kenny knows he lost by a few lengths.. still can't believe most of you didn't come.. we're all still alive.. in NJ things actually are closed on sundays.. returning the passport 8500.. gps tracker is awesome.. only hit 137mph racing the merc.. stopped thinking about wanting a ferrari for the day and remembered why i love my car...torque and wont break.. wheelies can be done at 130mph if you're crazy enough. that about does it for now.
Excellent time fellas!! Still got a road buzz/headache from the loud exhausts (Gene - LOOKING YOUR WAY!! and THE COBRA OWNER!!), DAAAAMMMNN!!! TR held its own and represented. Especially on the roads around the mountain... And on ****ty old tires too!! Peace out!!
Didn't take too many pictures-- too busy BSing- check 'em out though: http://kenny.myphotoalbum.com/view_album.php?set_albumName=sl55funrun
First time to one of these events and have to say i had an incredible time! Thanks Kenny and especially Hutch for co-pilot's seat in the TR. Hope to bring the M3 next time. Later
Sounds like you guys had a fun time - would love to know what mtn roads you used, but I'll get that outta you next time I see any of you. Did any of you go up to the car show in Conn? If so, how was it? P.S. I wouldn't go up against an SL55, bc I don't think either the TR or the 355 could pull it off, regardless of how I shifted. Am I right?
100% IMO-- the SL55 has more then 100hp on both cars, not really a fair comparison. I'd be surprised if a 360 could take it...
again...that car weights like a billion pounds. To be honest with you after crushing 360's multiple times I'd say it would be a drivers race between the sl and 360. The 360's may have hung on for their life a little better.
not really. SL55 is in 996TT/viper league, does quarter in mid 12's, that will be consistently faster than a modena, especially it is a slush box, you can not fock that up, just floor it, how hard it that. Modena might get a jump with good launch, but onc it gets moving SL55 is sure faster. but again as hubert said, SL is poser car, benz can keep stuffing superchager or turnocharger onto their cars and equip dem with auto tranny for all i can, no big deal.
