So I unplugged the charger to go for a drive, pushed down the cover and it won't catch. It just springs back open. Anyone run into this and have a fix for it? The clip that covers the charger itself latches just fine, it's just the gloss black cover that won't latch close. I drove around with a little piece of clear packing tape to keep it down but obviously that's not ideal. The thing has been fidgety from day one as half the time it won't pop open when I press the button in the door and I've had to pull on it slightly to get it open, and now it won't stay down. o_O

Dealer is 600 miles away and I was hoping there's a simple fix cause I don't want to ship it down just for this, and other than this thing the car has been completely trouble free till now (knock on wood).

Ugh, service manager says he's seen this many times before and it's going to need an actuator replacement.
I guess this is the downside of living far away from the dealer that I have to pay to get it shipped back and forth every time there's a small issue.
If annual service was due soon I'd wait but I can't live for another nine months with scotch tape securing my flapity flapper. :(

That’s a shame and seems unreasonable that you have to pay for transportation because surely this must be a warranty matter and therefore entirely at their cost, risk and expense?

Dealer is being really good about working something out so I'm not out of pocket for what obviously is a warranty repair.
The issue is that Ferrari will actually pay for transport to the nearest dealer, which is Atlanta for me, but my dealer is a little farther away so they trying to sort it out.
All this for a little actuator. :)
Apparently this is a super common and known issue on these cars.
