Was at my local dealership here in HK. Without question the WORST dealership in the universe - zero customer service, I've been made to feel more welcome at a Nissan dealer and their product knowledge (and desire to learn any) is below zero.

That little moan dealt with - what do you think of this ? Snapped it 10mins ago in their workshop - sorry for pic quality, taken with Apples finest.

I'm not a fan of the ball-polished wheels - in fact, I think this particular 599 would look great with gray wheels to match the roof and A-pillars. But I love the two-tone paint job; I think it looks very good. Is that Rosso Fuoco?

Is this one of the China limited edition models?
On their website are some more pics and they discribe it as 599 Fiorano HGTE LE. Could the "LE" stand for Limited Edition?
The odometer has Chinese letters, but they seem to be in a very old style, or is it canotnese? I only know the standard ones, and they're different for the numbers 5 (五), 6 (六) and 7 (七). The start button on the steering wheel has also chinese letters and China (zhong guo) is writen in letters on a sticker on the B (C?) pillar.
    Attached are some pics.

I don't get it. Its just combining polished and raw which is taking Ferraris idea for the 599 too far anyway...

Yeah it seems to be a very stylised, older version of traditional chinese. Kinda cool I guess. Btw, cantonese and all the other chinese dialects are all written the same way.

I agree. Darker grey wheels would do this paint combo a world of good. Just as on corvettes, sometimes the bling is too much.

What are you guys thinking about these special Market specific additions? I guess they are probably popular in their respective markets, but to play devil's advocate... What do you think Enzo would say about an "Asian Tiger" edition 599? Does it cheapen the brand? Maybe more of a special edition action figure than an exotic car. That being said most of the exotic companies are doing this nowadays because it must work to move cars. Just throwing it out there for discussion.

You're right, but with canotnese letters I meant the ones in HK :) But of course cantonese is not only spoken in HK.

BTW, I read in the Asian section that there are 3 of those China Limited Edition cars driving around in HK. Does anybody know how many were totally made?

I don't know if they're all made, but there will be 12 China Edition 599s. There are also 12 Russia Edition 612s.

Unfortunately I don't have pictures, but apparently all Russia Edition 612s are liveried in a metallic gray from the '50s-'60s-era palate, have the HGTC package and toning glasses. I'm sure someone here has a picture of one.

Hey, Pap! No, each China Edition 599 will be liveried individually. The first China Edition 599 that we saw had paint that mimicked cracked and aged porcelain, inspired by the Ge Kiln porcelain of the Song Dynasty. A video of that 599 can be seen here. Considering all of the detail that went into it, and how significant a lot of its details are, it is easily my favorite 599. I saved the pictures that were online:

Not my experience. Maybe you just had bad luck. Please feel free to PM me if you want the names of my salesman, service adviser, etc. Happy to help. Have you actually purchased a Ferrari from IMSS, dealt with the service department, etc?

I have found customer service to be nothing short of outstanding. I also respect dealer's product knowledge. HK has experienced and demanding clients with everything from FXX Evos, F1 cars, 599XX, 250GTO's, Enzo's and over 1,200 registered Ferraris on the road. Some individuals have 30+ Ferraris in HK. Core owners are a rather cohesive group who share a lot of information. It is not easy to serve so many VVVVIP's.

I have quite ok connections in Ferrari and am in an above average position to assess the product knowledge of the dealer. I have a rather high volume of new purchases, a collection of older cars and my relationship with the dealer only improves over time.

You might want to look into the specifics before making generalisations. These cars funded the one-off which was auctioned for EUR1.2mn to establish a fund to send Chinese engineers to school in Italy with an internship at Ferrari. I really doubt Ferrari covered costs on this.

As beautiful as these pictures are, they cannot do justice to the real car. The paint is so subtle and soft. I was in Beijing for the auction and the car was simply breathtaking. It was purchased by a Shanghai collector so most appropriately it remained in China
