In honor of the funniest/stupidest comment thread which has become a long running thread on f-chat (5 years and over 1300 posts) I just wanted to try a thread about funny stuff little kids have said about your f-car. Also, despite Bill Cosby's recent publicity for accusations of sexual predation, I was thinking of him being a former ferrari owner, and the hilarious candid interviews he used to do with kids back in the day he was thought of as wholesome.

Here are a few from my 7 year old son:

-A little background: we were pulled over and given warnings from cops x2 on the last two morning outings together for doing nothing more than 5mph over limit.
One of my senior business partners asked my boy if he liked the Ferrari, he replies, "I think I would rather ride in moms truck, because every time we go out in the Ferrari Dad gets pulled over by the cops."

-I sometimes keep a pack of gum in the car and I have CF racing seats which I am very anal with. The little guy takes a piece of gum while I am getting in the car, and I warn him to be careful because he often will swallow it. About 10 minutes into the trip he is rifling through the console for another piece of gum.
    Me: "what are you doing?"
D: "getting another piece of gum."
Me:"I asked you to be careful and not swallow it."
    D: "I didn't swallow it, I lost it somewhere."

-my wife, the little guy, and I are going out for dinner. He asked "which car are we taking?". Joking because there are three of us I answered "the Ferrari.". Not missing a beat he says "we can't take the Ferrari.". So thinking he was putting my wife before the car, he says looking up," it looks like its gunna rain, we can't take the Ferrari in the rain.". I thought that was hallarious, my wife was less than impressed.

-"hey dad i never knew the Ferrari had windshield wipers. Why does the Ferrari have windshield wipers?"

    This one was cute.

My daughter, on the other hand, knows why Ferraris have windshield wipers! :)

I was test driving a 79 308 and had a 10ish year old girl plastered to her minivan window looking at the 308.

When stopped to get a bite to eat in Bandera, Texas (population 847) a young boy gave me the highest compliment by informing me that I had the coolest car in Bandera. I thanked him for his kind works and let him and his brother take turns sitting behind the wheel.

I've told the story before, but it is tailor made for this thread...

I had just parked in one of those "pay and display" parking lots where you walk over to the machine, print out a ticket and leave it on your dashboard. Since there was a meter maid cruising the lot at the time, my wife stayed by the car so she could point across the lot to me at the booth buying a ticket if needed.

When I came back, she was laughing herself sick. Seems while I was gone, a mother with her young son walked by, and the kid was absolutely amped. Started pointing and shouting "Mom!! Mom!! Look at that car!!!" She looked and said "Yes, sweetie. I see it. And what kind of car is that?"

He replied "I don't know!! But it's REALLY COOL!!!!"

Apparently both my wife and the kid's mom got a real kick out of it. Sorry I missed it.

My neighbors 8 year old walks over and says, " I like your car its cool, but my dad's car cost more". Not sure what options that Honda odyssey has but it has to be the nicest one on the planet.

In 2007 I purchased my 365 GTC4. My daughter, 8yrs old at the time, came with me to take the car home. As we were driving home she asked me if the radio only played old songs! I told her yes:).

Whilst washing the car one weekend a local lad came by on his bicycle, circled round and stopped with a skid, to one side, dismounted and stood there looking at the car with his bike balanced against his legs.

Young Lad: "Bet my Dad's car cost more than your one"

Me: "Probably true, this is an old car"

Young Lad: "Bet my Dad's car can go faster than this one"

Me: "Probably true, this is an old car after all"

Slight pause. With a somewhat longing look he eyed my car, standing there with his bike balanced precariously against his legs.

Me: "Would you like to ask your Dad if you can have a quick ride around the block in mine?"

Sound of bike clattering to the ground whilst the young fellow, nearly tripping over his fallen ride, turned on his heel and started to speed off toward home to ask his Dad and shouting back over his shoulder: "Cor, thanks mister!"

Maybe the minivan was the 1000HP Honda Minivan that Rutledge Wood drove on one of the American Top Gear episodes?

I was washing my 458 italia in my driveway last night when a little boy on a bike rides by and says he loves my corvette. Ugh.

I just said thanks! About 3 seconds later the mom rode by smiling. Not sure if she got it or not.
