never ceases to amaze me how many idiots are out there.

 

The first few YEARS that the PaPa had his Countach we kept finding this symbol on the windows "( . )" We thought it was some sort of code (maybe it is a secret code for the EC). Eventually, somewhat by accident we realized that it was the mark left by people's noses (the dot) and the sides of people's hands (when they used them to block the glare) when they were trying to get a look at the inside.

What moronic behaviour! Had you been outside he'd likely have challenged you to an arm wrestling or forhead beer can crushing contest...or both. The scary thing is some beaurocrat issued this clown a driver's licence.

One who is behaving in a stupid manner which is designed to attract attention to the subject stupid behaviour has to be near the height of stupidity. Think about this. He has no clue how stupid his behaviour is and seems compelled to advertise this fact in ways that would make marketing firms jealous.

 

Wow. I once saw a Miura in the pits at a drag race in Ennis, TX. I talked to the owner and he told me he once had a brand-new Countach. The first place he took it was the country club. While inside, someone asked who owns the Lamborghini. He was told a drunk driver had slammed into it. He thought they were joking. They weren't.

 

Imagine that. Wouldnt you get upset and want to bash this drunk driver?

 

When people come up and ask about the car, I often ask if they would like to see the engine. Almost all of them go to the FRONT of the car.

When people ask to see the engine in our Boxster S, I just tell them there is no engine; you have to peddle fast.

Everytime I wash my 350Z in the drive way I get at least 1 idiot kid who stops and revs at me in front of my driveway as if I'm going to quit washing and jump in the car and start racing after them. Silly.

My son and I were going through a small town one day in my TR We came around a bend and stopped in the road were a bunch of teens all standing around an old rusted out Buick or Olds or somthing. As we passed by they were all yelling I don't even know what they were saying, but the funniest part was the driver revving the engine untill the valves were floating. Smoke billowing out the back. He sure showed me.

I have a friend in southern California who converted his Mazda pickup with a dead gas engine to an electric motor. The engine compartment is stuffed full of batteries. In that region, you must have the emissions tested periodically. The emissions testing technicians stick a sniffing wand up the exhaust pipe and take a reading to see if you fail or pass the state standards. Well, an electric motor, of course, has no tail pipe and no emissions. The technicians tended to freak out because they could not find the pipe to stick their wand into. Steve would open the hood and show them why.....very patiently. But, the techs have a box on the testing form to confirm that they made the test. They were not sure what to do. No exhaust pipe, no test done. So, my friend and his fellow electric motor club associates began attaching old exhaust pipes under their vehicles so they could get their certifications done. Seems brilliant to me!

Hmmm. I wonder if a set of dummy exhaust pipes would work for getting my 328 through emissions?
