Funny Names

I have a customer in Texas. Dicks Studio.

Worse, the two Dicks who own it are..

I swear.

Mary Dick and Harry Dick.

He used to sign the checks Harold, then Harry, now he uses H. Dick.

Also,

the President of a fairly large retail food chain/convenience store in my area, is named, Dick Wood.

Last but not least, I had a supplier with the completely redundant name, Willie Johnson.

There was a person my mom met a person named Sh!tead.

 

Dave I actually met Dick Wood of Wawa fame a few years ago. I give him credit for putting his name on every wawa coffee cup?(don't know if it is still on there)

Worked with a guy one time who swore his kids names were Jett and Nicean. I couldn't figure out why he would name them that till I realized his last name was Black.

Also used to work with ****** Wood (different than the one mentioned above though!)

 

On old manager and baseball player was named Cookie Rojas and his wife's name was Candy Rojas. Coookie and Candy, always thought that was funny.

Our bookkeeper for 20 years grew up in Gridley with a girl whose name was Ima Jean Whore. She just went by Ima Whore.

A Russian ex-colleague of mine, his name was Vlad Tirovski. He shortened his last name informally, so his name was Vlad Tire.

I chuckle just thinking of him calling AAA explaining his flat tire situation.

 

A friend of mine has the last name Bahr... he married a girl named Candie... making her Candie Bahr.

I had another friend whose given name was Sir Daniel David Titensor Equire III. The only part of that name his parents didn't make up was Titensor, which is his sur name.

 

My wife once taught a girl named after 2 of the mums favorite U.S. soap stars.

There was a very well known judge in the US who was called Learned Hand. It's said he was the best judge never appointed the US Supreme Court. He had a brother or cousin, Augustus Hand, who also became a senior judge. Learned Hand was left leaning (politically speaking), and Augustus was right-wing. Not surprisingly, lawyers jokingly referred to them as 'Left Hand' and 'Right Hand'.
