Funny story from the classroom

Charles, age nine, gets the following question in school by his female teacher:
-"Three birds are sitting on a telephone wire when one of them is shot down.
How many birds are still sitting on then wire?"
-"None, Charles replies, the other two gets scared and fly away."
-"The correct answer is two, but I like the way you think."
Charles gets an idea and asks his teacher a question of his own:
-"Three women are sitting on a park-bench eating icecream.
One of them are chewing on the icecream, the other one is licking on her and the third one are sucking on it.
Which one of the women are married?"
-"Well, I suppose it's the one sucking on the icecream, the teacher answers."
-"No, it should be the one with a rock on her finger but I like the way you think..."
