It seems my fuse box leather door does not want to stay in place.
It has the Velcro’s on the door and on the car but I must be missing a bracket that holds the right Velcro on (fuse box side).
Can someone snap a pic and show me what I’m missing—an “L” bracket?

I can't seem to edit my post, but someone screwed the right velcro thing to the wrong spot and I must be missing a bracket--thanks!

Please indicate the model and year of your 308. The fuse panel cover was secured with different types of fasteners depending on the year of manufacture. Believe only the later cars used velcro-like attachment.

Not quite the later cars - from ~June 1984 production (last of the 1984 QVs and 1985) Ferrari used two Tenax fasteners to hold on the fuse box cover panel (Tenax are the same type of button-head fasteners as used on the GTS' roof panel vinyl cover)

I seem to be missing the right bracket that holds the tenax fastener on the dash side. Just looking for a photo of that area so I can see what I’m missing. Thnx!!

On mine, an '82, the velcro attachment is not where yours is. It's directly under the fuse panel. Basically right where the corresponding velcro piece is located on the leather fuse cover. So it's attached into the carpeting, not on the box itself.

does this help? Mine is an 85 RHD and only had velcro until it failed and a PO added screws. Fed up with that I added the Tenax pin.

If your cover somehow has that in that particular configuration then it's probably fine. I know different years have differences.

Unfortunately my cover doesn’t work with my configuration, so that’s why I’m guessing it’s a bracket issue

It appears that the velcro tab on the fuse panel cover (second picture, with the silver rivets) is on the wrong side of the tab. The way it is positioned currently, it will not engage with the corresponding velcro tab on the lower part of the fuse panel (shown in the first picture). It seems that the tab on the fuse panel cover needs to be repositioned so it is opposite its current position. That way, when you put the fuse panel cover into place by sliding in the upper edge, the tab on the fuse cover will be facing upward and will be able to engage with the tab on the fuse panel, which is facing downward. Have you checked the postion/orientation of the velcro tabs on the other (left) side of the fuse panel cover? I wonder if a past owner made a failed attempt at a repair.

The left side is correct on the door. It's the bracket on the right side of the dash that doesn't align to the factory door. Unless I have the wrong door/cover. That's why I need a pic of a '83 or '84 QV so I can see what the underside of the door/cover and the dash side looks like (right). thanks
