My mechanic hooked up the fuse wire from the fuel pump in the panel to the other prong behind the original. My question is why does the fuse panel have 2 prongs for each wire from the harness?
I also have 85 QV. (Mine is US version) The extra connection is just that Extra. I recently had a problem with the same fuse. I don't think your problem is resolved by moving the wire to the other connector. I would look at that simply as proof that the fuse block needs to be replaced. I think you will find that a set of new Birdman fuse blocks will be a nice improvement. You could also build the fuse block yourself for less with readily available parts but why bother when Birdman does such a nice job.
