I have installed the GT Car Parts modern circuit board upgrade for my 86 412 fuse/relay panel. Used Stabilant 22. Bought a special crimp tool and replaced the few damaged metal connectors. Bought new plastic bar connectors to get rid of the old burn marks. Labeled and marked everything.
    Reassembled...anticipation of firing up that V12 building...nothing.
Jump to now...I have 12+ V at the battery. 12+ V at the two plugs at the panel. Some things work. Some don't and did pre-swap. Ex: windows have no power. Pulled all the fuses and checked power across the top pin for each fuse location, key off and key on. Power is at the following key on: fuse position 2-8, 15,17,18,21,22. With the key off, same list except 15 is not powered. I would have thought there would be power across the top for some key off, all with key on.
I ordered a pdf wiring diagram but I guess it is not an automated buy so waiting for the pdf to be delivered...
Thoughts? If you can point me to a diagram that would help too!
    Thanks.

I jumped power from fuse 18 top to fuse 20 bottom and could operate the right window through the switch as normal.
Did run through the other connectors to the board and found a few with 12v and a few with 2 v. Guess the diagram is going to help with this.
Another question...does the white/black wire on the ignition switch go directly to the starter solenoid or is there a junction in there? If so, where? (86 412)
    Thanks

Received the wiring manual pdf. Discovered there is a relay in the glove box panel for the starter. It was hot while I was troubleshooting yesterday and pulled it. Also now have the circuit board wiring and see what is powered from what sources.

I paid $11 to Maranello Literature on line. There is someone on this site that has colored the wiring on the schematics to make it easier to trace. I don't have the link for Maranello here on my phone...if you cannot find it with a google search, let me know and I'll dig it up.

Car is now running. Confirmed grounds and power sources. Replaced the relay for the starter. Fixed one bad crimp and then reinstalled. I think connector X on the right side might not have been fully seated as power to the relay comes in at the blue wire on top of that connector. One more thing with the manual; orientation relative to the keys is not always correct. It is correct left to right...W is flipped top to bottom in the manual. For the starter issue, I swapped in one of the 113 relays from the main panel I had replaced in bulk. So far everything works. May make it to Lime Rock Park tomorrow after all!!

Meant connector W...vertical right side...was not seated..Blue at top is the power source and apparently was not connecting. Anyhow, several restarts and all is good. Everything works...!!

Paul Bennet is the man you are seeking. He makes and sells the color diagrams for the 400s and the 308s. I have them. Look him up in the 308 forums. If you can't find him, let me know. I think that it is only fair to contact him first, due to his great efforts and contributions to the
Ferrari Chat world. He charges a very reasonable fee for the very great worth of his diagrams. I hope that this is of some value to someone. Thank you very much. Jq.

    Unfortunately, he only has the 365 & the Series 1 400i :(

Were you able to print yours off?

Blkprlz; not sure who you are asking, but I did not print the diagrams from the .pdf. I loaded it on my laptop and backed it up on my external hard drive, then brought the laptop out to the barn. "Full color Black and White"...but I could blow it up and get what I needed. One section in the manual is missing the wire colors, but with the panel in hand you can figure them out.

Jacques, thanks for identifying Paul as the source. Couldn't find it when I went back looking before.

The starter relay in the panel in the glove box was something I had not seen in forum discussions before. My car has had the starter replaced a couple of times by PO. I never noticed that the relay had been addressed in any receipts in the stack.
The manual was nice because it identified where the items in the diagram were located. So nice to turn the key and have it respond (and start!!)

I was asking Jq. if he was able to download & print the color wiring schematic. I noticed on Paul's site that you have lifetime access to the schematics on-line but I always like to back up stuff from the web in the event the info is no longer available.

I, too, got the pdf version of the schematic & enlarged it on my laptop...definitely found it more useable than the hard copy in the OM! Good to here that it's running!

Bruce...If you would care to PM me your email address, I will gladly send it to you, and then you can distribute it on the fchat, as I am electronically challenged. In other words, I need you to do the " heavy lifting". Heh, heh. Jq.
