Guys help please Just got a new brass valve from Paul at Hill engineering - many thanks. Before I try to remove the final bit (Paul - I'll need more advice!), does the air recirculation unit which moves the little valve have a fuse? If so where can I find it. I've managed to remove the luggage area, and have now exposed the fan unit, but I'm now faced with the daunting task of taking apart the fan unit Diagrams & pictures - come in Paul - your time is up!
You don't need to take apart the fan unit. The hardest part is done. you took out the luggage area. That's a pain! All you do is remove the little electric motor that is held in by two screws on the front part of the fan unit and disconnect the plug that connects to the motor. As you pull the motor away from the fan unit the broken plastic piece will be on nose of the motor. The other piece is stuck in the end of the a/c flapper. Just slide the new brass piece on the nose of the motor, remove the piece in the end of the flapper, line up the flapper in the fan unit and reattach the motor to the fan unit while sliding the new brass piece in the end of the fapper. You'll understand once you remove the little motor on front of the fan unit.
Phew - done - thanks Special thanks to Paul Hill of Hill Engineering for supplying the wonderful little part and for being on hand when times get tough! I now feel like a true fchatter - got my hands dirty Yep, I've seen it all - the 30amp fuse, the immobiliser and the shoddy build quality once you get underneath the cardboard - class!
Julian, Glad to be of help You can now press away knowing that the recirc is working! Image Unavailable, Please Login
