    Having been on the design and engineering side of the auto biz for the last 5 years, starting from scratch would bankrupt most of these small companies. The costs to start with a clean sheet of paper is amazing. There is a reason even Ferrari is going to start upping the production runs, and it isn't just because we think they are greedy.

    Personally I think Bugatti is just if not more interesting than Ferrari I'm glad the company is around and is making cars again. I hope VW will keep the marque alive, and hope they will produce a more affordable car... Bugatti deserves to live well again.

    The next step is to get back to racing... but I'm sure that will never happen. unless they really start selling volume cars like Porsche - Ferrari.

    It would be great to see a Formula One Bugatti again... or one attack Le Mans and win!

    A lightweight Veyron would be quite something considering how fast it is with all this extra weight.

    Agreed. I've always believed that the EB110 is the quintessential exotic.
