What do you all think the resale value of 360CS will be like in a year or two?

Since the CS is a limited edition car, how should we judge its resale in the market place?

Resale value is aligned with F430 coupe. It will trail the coupe value's untill several model year's of F430 have been delivered into the market. Then the CS will start tracking a better return as compared to orginal MSRP.Max resale value of CS is next six month's.After that it's tied to what's happening in the F430 coupe market which I think will start softening.

I predict the resale value will drop.

However, you can maximize the resale value by buying it and parking it.
And you can maximize the enjoyment value by buying it and driving it.

imo, the downward movement you're going to see in the near term is a function of 430 deliveries and heat-seeker buyers moving their CSs in front of those deliveries. the bad news is that the early-adopter crowd is a lumpy supply (front-loaded, of course), so we'll see some buildup of inventory as those folks turn to their next car in the near-term. once that exercise is cleared out, things will stabilize. there's only about 300 CSs in the US - they are far more distinctive than 430 coupes (or just about anything else, for that matter). my guess is by mar/apr 2006 the car will be on a stable and rational depreciation path - but until then there's going to be some sturm und drang to wade through.

i disagree that they'll move relative to 430 or 360 prices. maybe in the short term (maybe), but over the long haul it's a very different car than any other 360, and my guess is it'll pan out similarly -vs- the 430 over time. more of them will end up happily on the track, which won't help increase the unit numbers over time.

my two drachmas, worth well less than you paid for them.

    doody.

I'm still expecting a 430CS to come along soon. When that happens the 360CS should take a large hit on resale.

Seem to be holding up pretty well in Europe at least, I haven't seen much change in sticker at least in the last 6 months

That's true as the CS will be in the same price range as a 430CS i.e. $200's. When they come out with a 430CS it'll put a lot of downward pressure on the price of the 360CS.
