Look, you asked for permission to visit, but was told it wasn't possible, so tried to buy your way in, but was told you would have to wait like everyone else, and when that didn't work you lied your way in. Your gaining access in that way has not only stolen from the reputation of a fellow FChatter, but could be considered criminal trespassing. If you're told "no", you accept "no" as the answer - the first time - no matter how eager you are. Setting aside for a moment the criminal acts that you boasted about in this thread, the sentiment to defraud and invade the privacy of those included in our online community is deplorable and, in my eyes, warrants permanent exclusion from the forum. There is nothing you can say to justify those actions to me, so if I never see or hear from you again, I certainly won't be miss you. We don't need to welcome dishonest people and therefore I don't welcome you. Go peddle your ill-gotten pictures elsewhere, because you'll see none of my valuable 'respect' spent by me. Andrew.
I gotta agree here. You lie your way in after being asked not to, you get smacked for doing it and when you get back from your Vacation, you post pics on a public forum that you admit the owner is not aware of and has undoubtedly not given you permission to post. It is possible for someone to lose their job over what you have done. Not very smart.
Sparky has already said he's going to be in BIG trouble for blowing the cover on the project. And you dancing around the Facility taking pictures "because the Owner is not there" may likely cause some real problems, for whoever granted you access. Because this is a Ferrari site, it's customary, due to the time and money spent, to allow the Owner his Big Day when the cover finally comes off. WTF.....Did you sneak in and see your Bride, before she walked down the aisle to meet you???? I hope your goofing around doesn't cause some "bad mojo" to follow this effort.
Chino, this isn't a tough crowd.....you ****ed up. We're angry because you came in here NOT because you are an enthusiast of aircraft and fine automobiles but because you wanted something. You wanted something so bad that you: -Comitted criminal trespass -Willfully ignored the word "no" when you asked outright -Willfully damaged a respected Fchat members reputation for your own personal gain -AND THEN you have the gall to brag about DOING IT AGAIN AFTER you recieve a one week ban. You sir have proven that you are a "craned neck poser" to steal a phrase used by a friend of mine. If you wish to stay here you owe Sparky, his son, and this community a sincere and public apoligy. If you decide not to then I don't believe that you are the type of person this community is looking for.
Some people only learn the hard way....time to show chino275gtb who holds the hammer on this forum...but judging by his perseverence, he STILL may not learn
they say when you break a leg, it heals stronger than before. if you can man-up, show respect and apologize where due, you may actually wind up in better standing than when you began. who knows, it may become a funny anecdote in years to come when you are with friends. in the tech community, what was done we call 'social-engineering' a lot of this kind of stuff goes on in the show 'burn notice' lol
Classic example of a Sociopath "The Hare Psychopathy Checklist is widely used, describes psychopaths as "intraspecies predators". Lacking in conscience and empathy, they take what they want and do as they please, violating social norms and expectations without guilt or remorse". "What is missing, in other words, are the very qualities that allow a human being to live in social harmony." Psychopaths are glib and superficially charming, and many psychopaths are excellent mimics of normal human emotion; some psychopaths can blend in, undetected, in a variety of surroundings, including corporate environments. There is neither a cure nor any effective treatment for psychopathy; there are no medications or other techniques which can instill empathy, and psychopaths who undergo traditional talk therapy only become more adept at manipulating others. The consensus among researchers is that psychopathy stems from a specific neurological disorder which is biological in origin and present from birth. It is estimated that one percent of the general population are psychopaths". Seeing as this guy isn't interested in turning it around and I were a Moderator, I wouldn't waste my time or breath. PERMANENT BAN. ,..........................................
As a basis of comparison, whenever I visit the Me 262 Project in Washington state, I always ask permission before taking photos and whether there are any restrictions on posting them. That's the right way to go.
Just to bring up that fave ol topic relating back to the famous '0846' thread, I was reading and comparing the FW-190s to the fabulous Pemberton Boeing 40, which they claim as a restoration, although with only a few original parts (however including a dataplate). Do these FW 190s have original instruments or other doo-dads other than the tailwheel assemblies? Does anyone know are they certificated as? Amateur built experimental? Seems hardly accurate. I've taken the position that all of these are bitsas as not built by the factory, but it just doesn't matter as they are all simply wonderful and should be appreciated in their own glory. I think the same of the Boeing 40 much as JG's 0846. I remember Ferrari SpA really was careful about what they categorized Jim's car when it debuted rather than appreciate the beauty of the craftsmanship. Oh well, I suppose there are legal intellectual identity issues. The ME-262s are another example, as well as Tischler's F3Fs. Perhaps another analogy are the PurSang Bugatti replicas made in Argentina - again very similar to these -- or Bugattis cobbled together from multiple cars with a new body. Anyway, it's interesting to me how some folks get really animated about Replica/Re-creation/Restoration.
Remember, Messerchmitt assigned werk numbers to the new-build Me 262s as a continuation of the original production. The original aircraft were designated Me 262A-1a or b and Me 262B-1a or b, so the new-build aircraft are designated Me 262A-1c and Me 262B-1c.
If I was Sparky I would be making a call to the boys with the FW190 and tell them to bounce Chino the next time he shows his face.
Yes Spasso, it's a text book look at "one of those who don't give a F..." Unfortunately, these types of individuals never get it - - nor do they want to !! Their mental make up doesn't allow for reformation of the thinking process. PERMANENT BAN !!!
Learned from personal experience with a few in my lifetime. I have made it a hobby to spot them before they spot me. Many of them don't hide it very well.
Fun as picking on Chino is, I want to take a minute to recognize what I think is probably the most important subtext of this thread. To my mind it goes something like this: Thanks, Sparky >>>....and tazandjan and SNJ and Bob Parks ... and everyone else who's shared their unique experiences here. <<< Those of us who won't (in Sparky's case) own a P-51 or ever likely play a role in the warbird community really do enjoy the bits of insight you give us. And, from what I've heard tell, you've been nothing but terrific to random F-chatters who show up at Reno to say 'hi'. Most of us appreciate your sharing and the kindness you've shown, and we're truly sorry that some knucklehead abused your and your son's names to get in and see a FW190 project.
Well here is a big "I'm sorry Sparky" hope you didn't get to beat up over this, the FW is definitely going to be a big hit out on the West Coast, hopefully you can go down to see it, maybe you can make it when your kids down, I understand he finishes up training today and he might be out, here's some more pictures (approved) that i'm sure you guys will appreciate, by the way Sparky, Bigfoot wonders why you never come back and see him, after all he did own you Mustang for a while Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
