    Who will be the first to buy one of these? I wonder why they put at 8 on it instead of 1 - targeting the Asian market perhaps?

    Nuremberg A Ferrari that will be sold for just over £1,000 has gone on display in Germany. The Italian manufacturer has produced a go-kart that will feature the prancing horse logo as well as an on-board computer, seven gears, a leather steering wheel and rubber racing tyres.

    The pedal-powered Ferrari FXX was shown for the first time at the Nuremberg Toy Fair and has attracted a waiting list of 500 parents in Britain. It was developed after the Dutch company Berg Toys approached Ferrari with the idea last year. “You aren't going to break any speed records but you will probably get up to 15mph to 20mph depending on how fast you can pedal,” Andrew Reynolds, the British sales manager for Berg Toys, said. He said that it was intended for children but added: “The seat is adjustable so it can be driven by a grown-up.”
