Bob, first of all, I knew you before you embarked on this endevour and you were without a doubt the best detailer in our area (or any area that I've been in). You are still _the_ best detailer and hence from that stand point both my customers and I are going to welcome you back with open arms. Having said that I am simply stunned that the owners of the shop (and I must say it's the most impressive set up I have seen on this Coast) that you built/crafted from concept to the real deal have actually allowed you to leave. I know you had to overcome a mountain of road-blocks along the way just to get the shop to from dust to the grand openning so you should be proud of that. The crew you put together is first-rate and I thoroughly enjoyed working with all of you. I must say though without you there I can't see a rosey future for the place.

I know we will be seeing you again on a regular basis (not just for our fleet of cars!) in the short-term. In the long-term based on what you have achieved and the impressions you already made in the industry I am positive that we will see you again at the front of a performance shop. You already have the foundations and the experience and obviously know how to put a team together. All you need are the "right" guys upstairs....

PS I've got four Porsches at the shop that go fast but need to look good.. Can you help?:)

Bob. Wish you the best of luck. I concur with Alex that you are the BEST in the business and you will no doubt rise again like a Phoenix and rebuild your dream shop in even a shorter duration. On a more selfish note, good to have you back closer to the east bay too! :)

Well...... it makes me feel good to see the support from the community, and i really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart!. There might be some spin from Performance Art concerning what really went down, all i can say is trashing them is not the answer because i walk a different path anyone that really knows me also will read between the lines. It almost kills me that the team i built is still there and i am not, if anyone has some disposable income i have a real solid plan on how to do this again the RIGHT WAY.Performance Art was the name my wife wrote down over eight years ago at dinner one night when i was dreaming about the shop i would build if the funds were available, i WILL not quit until i can do it again.

I would normally say...sorry to hear about this....but, you know....things like this always happen for a reason, and you in charge of the happy ending. I hope you realize your dream soon, and you can do so on your own terms.
Besides....I always thought the Gilroy location was silly. You detail a car, and it still smells like garlic ! Who wants to schlep down there, anyway? South San Francisco/Milbrae, for example would cover SF, peninsula, and even East Bay with Bart...If you do open a shop I will be happy to go in and sublease a few square feet for a clubhouse with speedtv, library, and a well stocked beer fridge.

As lukek mentioned, things happen for a reason and I'm sure in the end things will work out for the best for ya! You're an excellent detailer and a stand up guy. It's always a pleasure to see your work come through our facility. We wish you the best and welcome back to the Bay!!!!! :)

    Bob,

Sorry things did not work out the way that you wanted them to. They say no good deed goes unpunished.

I know with your talents you will not only land on your feet, but you will STAY on your feet. Performance Art's loss is our gain. My F car has never looked so good as they day that you left my driveway...

    Welcome back!

No no no... Would never do that. It's actually a rarely used road in an industrial zone and then a back road- especially on a weekend. We were just making a video of the tubi.

once again bob you brought back a couple of cars from the dead. You made an 8 year old car look spanking new- AGAIN. I'll get some pix etc... of the white car and that black Turbos S when you're done:)
