I rented space in one of my buildings to a company from Japan that is busy establishing a wholesale and retail business selling G ZOX, a clear paint finish product. I have owned literally dozens of cars and I have tried these aftermarket finish products from time to time and for the most part they are all rather ho-hum. Sure, they look great for 10 seconds after application but as soon as you drive the car in the real world, it gets dusty and dirty and the very expensive finish you put on the car is magically gone.

Anyway, as part of the rent deal, they agreed to do two of my cars. The 599 has now returned from this detailing session with G ZOX and I must say it looks significantly better than when it was new.

Photos can't capture the depth of the shine on the car. It almost looks like it is liquid that you can dive into. I have no idea what they charge at retail but I gather it is a high premium product with a price to match. The application process is really intensive and takes more than a day to clean, prepare the car, apply and polish, so the bulk of the cost is labor.

I have no financial interest in the product (other than I hope they succeed so that they continue paying rent!)

Keep us posted, we are all looking for ways to spend more money, like the $7,500 Ferrari is charging for the Scudaria's racing stripes. Best

Evan Kirk had Ferrari 612 at the April Concorso Arizona which he had treated with G'ZOX and the finish was stunning.
