I Road tested a G55...Atrocious feel...Hard clanking in front live axle suspension on potholes.. They do need to revise to an independent susp. VERY cool car non the less.
Built like a tank. The aerodynamics of a brick ****house. Handles like the Titanic and weighs as much. But I want one. Was thinking about getting one in place of my Rover for a year until the new Rover comes out. The price for the G65 is insane, however. You could buy TWO G63s for the price of ONE G65. $347,000!!!
Very few styling changes since the mid-eighties Galendawagon. I do have some respect for a company that doesn't feel the need to rebody their cars every 4 years. If the drivetrain and interior were never updated, I would have a problem with that.
Well said. Even the G-Class has been getting more updates lately. Just leave it alone. Its great as is. Just watch Mercedes go and ruin it in the next couple years. That would be typical.
Hopefully they don't change it anytime soon and watch how Land Rover fails with the new "Defender." They completely ruined it...shouldn't even call it a Defender. At $300k+, you're better off buying a G63 AMG and a 65 engine and swap it out...keep the 63 engine as a spare, lol.
