Just received my Autoart 1/12 Gallardo - Excellent but next to my 1/12 Murcielago does it look a little big? Have attached pics of my 1/12 Ferraris also. Also have a 1/12 McLaren F1, Jag XJ220 and Dodge Viper. I must stop buying these as they're too big and too expensive! Wow, I must say I have been waiting for my 1/12 scale Gillardo to arrive, but now seeing yours next to the Murci, I am a bit bewildered by what Autoart has done. It definetly looks off in scale. I am not sure how to react to it. Other than it looks a bit large.
Mind you, look at this photo of a lime green Gallardo, next to a lime green Murci - The G car looks bigger than you'd expect (or am I going mad?) http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=138807
Hey John, cheers for posting the pics of the G. IMO it looks fine and spot on to be honest as they are different shaped cars. The F50 still looks the best out of the Ferraris i think. Regarding the Gallardo, I think I'll wait til they release another colour as i dont like smoked or dark wheels. Hopefully i'll be posting some pics of the collection next week when my new model arrives, cant wait! A bit of competition for you!! LOL Regards, MAtthew
Hi Matt, Looking forward to seeing your collection. The wheels aren't smoked or dark though, they're sort of a polished aluminium finish - not blingy chrome. They're quite nice but I think I'd probably rather have them metallic silver. Just waiting for the 1/12 Kyosho LP400 Countach (hopefully a 1/12 QV will follow!)
Perhaps the angle of the picture, but the Gallardo does look significantly bigger in scale. Murci looks amazing BTW.
Thats good to know as I wanted the G in silver. Just wondering what colout the wheels are on the other colours when they are released. Regards the Countach, where did you hear about this as its news to me. Nothing visible on their website as far as i can see. Matthew PS. John, where did you buy the G and if you dont mind me asking how much was it?
There were photos of the 1/12 Countach from from the Nurnberg Toy fair posted on fchat but check out this link: http://www.grandprixlegends.com/DieCastSite/D_RoadCars_I_Lamborghini(DieCast)/KY08611P%28GPL%5FBaseCatalog%29/DieCast.htm Here is the link to the thread I posted about it: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125716
Hopefully they would make the later version. I would have thought there would be a greater demand for the later version i.e. the cannonball car etc
I am sure that the later version is down the road.Same way as I am sure that they will make an F50 in 1:18.The real killer would be if they make a 1:12 512BB.Which would be only logical.Same way as I believe that it would be logical if Ferrari come up with a 599 Fiorano barchetta with a removable hard top.The design of the car is just calling for it,plus we all know people would love an open Fiorano.
I am with you b-mak. I got a 1/12 yellow Murci and would like a black Gallardo sitting beside it. But it looks like there's going to be orange, yellow and silver only......
