You will need to open the door conventionally and turn the key.

I understand the e-gear can be an issue on clutch wear, but me, I don't need no stinkin' egear.

No issues I have discovered yet as a daily driver. Might as well since resale is in the tank.

The car itself will be fine. Aside from regular service, the only thing I've had to do in the last two years is change the battery. The main issue with daily-driving a Gallardo is dealing with the attention, safe parking, etc. It's very different than daily-driving a Porsche.

Keep in mind that lambos can make ferraris look conventional by comparison, so i would image the non stop attention and gauking would be the hardest part of using the Gallardo as an everyday car...the coupe would offer is little more privacy than the spider...

I had one in Black and used to drive it pretty regularly to the office...but it did get some attention the black definitely helps...

I had a standard 6 speed and while it was quite easy to drive I did not really like driving it in traffic...the car really wants to go when you let out the clutch so I had to be kind of careful there...

the other thing that may be an issue is ground clearance...even though it has that hydraulic lifter the car is still very low to the ground and bottoming out can be an issue...other than that it is just like driving an Audi...

Yes, a very fast Audi.....with an exotic engine, looks and wild sound....but other than that an Audi...but in all seriousness, your point is well made, the Gallardo can be an everyday car
