Gallardo prices in 2 years

Looking at Roy’s site I see he has 1 or 2 04 Gallardo’s selling for $129k, now my question is where do you guys see the Gallardo price in 2 years?

I have read some that dealers are discounting new cars by $20k so does that mean we could see sub $100k Gallardo’s in a year or two?

 

Like all production cars, The Gallardo will continue to depreciate, the question is where will it find a base? You kinda have to compare it to a 360, the early coupes are now below 100k, my guess is the G will be there too.

 

I think if you look at two years (and on average) - the 04's will stay at or a little above 100K (I would guess around 110K).

You of course will have high millage cars, those in need of some TLC, etc that will be below the 100K mark. But on average I would say they will stabilize around 110K.

I think they stabilized quite a bit. I bought my 04 in December of 04 for 144K with a few hundred miles. I sold it 1.4 years later with 5K miles (when I got my 07 Spyder) for 140K. So almost two years later than when I sold my first 04 - the average sale price for the 04's (decent miles) would be right now probably around 130's. So they have really settled in a base area. I don't think you are going to see the average in the below 100's for a few more years.

Once they release a "new" Gallardo - different shape, model, etc. (like the 360 vs. 430) - after the price settles on the new "model" you will then see the price of the old model go down to an average at or below 100K.

I'd guess like 360s they'll find a base around 100k. 500hp lamborghini for under 100k sounds a bit ridiculous if you ask me. Ahh well hopefully I will own one soon. =)

 

Well I hope for my sake the G will bottom out between $90k to $110k within 2 years.

Now that I have stopped laughing at this ridicules "price point" quote..

Maybe, but all the talking isn't going to hold the prices up, two years ago no one was predicting they'd be this low and they're headed lower still.

 

Quite the contrary actually...Gallardo prices are back UP about 5-10% over say 6 months ago. Then you could find a pretty good Gallardo for 90k, now....well good luck...I've been saying this for awhile now, there WERE more Gallardo's than buyers before, now it's just the opposite, all those low priced fire sale cars got snatched up and are no more...now it's back to the way it should be, Gallardo prices are what you're willing to pay for it and what someone is willing to sell it for.

 

Quite the contrary, Nothing is back to the way it is. Prices have not risen. This is tantamount to a south Florida/California real estate agent saying the market correction is complete, NO IT IS NOT.

Prices may not be free falling but there is no stability as of yet w/ Gallardo or Murcielago.

Discretionary items are still very low priorities during these times. And that applies to Jets, boats, homes and the beloved Italian branded sports car.

It's true. Been looking at a few myself. These do become the standard, as buyers sit in a more expensive example like I did & wonder why this particular seller is $20k higher than the last one I just looked at... and carefully leave the seller's premises in a quick fashion.

 

i too have noticed a slightly bump in prices across the board for hi line cars. It's most likely a seasonal thing.

 

I have been shopping to get one before the spring and there are plenty of under 20k miles sub $90k Gallardo to be had. I have a 911 as a winter car in Florida that I will trade once winter boating is done and my guess is if you look hard you can find a good Gallardo sub $90k in the next few months easy.

I think this is a MONSTER deal on a car of that nature.

 

There are only 21 Gallardo's for sale on cars.com for 04/05 under 100k. Of those 21 cars, 10 are yellow, 6 are silver, and 5 are black. Lowest mileage car has 4400 miles on it with an asking of 98k and is a base six speed manual with very few options. OVE has only 3 gallardos listed, all are yellow and one is even in Canada. Manheim hasn't had a recent 04 Gallardo sale since December 22 on an 04 yellow car with 24k miles for $80k, and most recent 05 Gallardo sale was 1/14/10 for a black car with 15k miles on it that sold at a dealer only auction for $90,500.00.

Once you factor in transport, dealer prep, flooring costs, etc...even the $80k car will be on the market for 95k plus. My point is, and has been, prices are up and the auction results show that.

If you want a "popular" color like Pearl Orange or Verde Ithica...even an 04, plan on paying over $100k. Just my two cents.

 

In 08/08 I paid around 115k for a 04 (egear with updated clutch and software) silver car, it had 4500 miles and if memory serves me over 180k sticker when new. I thought at the time it was a great deal, and I still do, since owning it I've done many things, steering wheel from new model, 560 front bumper, new stereo/nav, exhaust, carbon fiber interior parts, wheels, and turned it into RWD. I consider her a keeper, and one of the best car buys I have ever made.

 

There is no doubt that they are Great cars and over engineered. It is just a shame
they made, and continue to make, sooo damn many. I think prices on these will loosely follow the stock market.

 

In January Lambo sold 17 new cars in the US down 22.7% YOY. During the same period US
Ferrari sales were up 36% YOY.

IMO G's will trade at 50K two years from now.

Once again Roy you must take this company over before it's too late.

the real question is how many will be crushed/parted out in the face of a massive repair bill on a $50k car.
