Has anyone come up with a good American replacement battery for the Gallardo?
    Brand, Model #, group #?.

    Dimensions are 7 1/2" tall (without terminals), 6 5/8" deep, 11 3/4" wide.
Has "feet" on front and back to hold down.
Original is a "FAAM" (Italian) brand.

Postive terminal is on top, front, passenger side.
Negative terminal is on top, front, driver side.

Just get the highest cranking amps you can find in that size. Sears, Interstate, Optima, are all good quality.

Ehhhhh, I'd avoid the Optima's. Had a lot of problems with my last red top and before that a yellow top.

Braille makes a good battery if you want to save some weight. You will have to get their harness to have it fit properly, but thats no big deal.

I can believe that. Even though cool looking, it can't beat the performance of a good old wet cell.
