Just had email from dealer stating the new car will be live from 20th decemeber 2013. Wonder how it will compare to the 458

I hear it is going to be 600hp v10 and all wheel drive. I have a feeling that the 458 is still going to be a superior driving experience.

I will probably get one after the 458 tbh. Don't really want one of the first cars as they are bound to have teething problems and lot of the options may not be available

If true, I may give up waiting for my 458 Spider allocation. Six months on waiting list so far and no slot.

What that takes the mick. It's going live so they will most likely just have pictures, then probably launched at Geneva and first customer cars quarter 4 next year. That's what I think will happen

Be interesting to hear the sound compared to the 458. Downshifts on the 458 are like a f1 car

Also the 458 interior is something they will struggle to beat. The dash, racing seats, etc. I hope it's not too audi-ish

I think that gallardos have improved massiveley since first gen. The newest gen is very beautiful. The quality inside is much better visually and from the feel. I think the 458 is exceptional when it comes to feel and that new car smell ;) but I think that the next all new gallardo will be a serious competitor. Same story as the Bentley Continental gt. First gen of that was not all too good but the new one is just amazing.

I agree. Each version of the Gallardo I have driven (now five of them) has been better than the one before. The cars are hugely better now in quality, refinement, and overall driving experience. I think the Audi influence has been good for the marque. And this in turn is good for the market. Competition is always good.

I agree. My Gallardo has been great. Drives great and is very smooth. Had my built by Heffner. Makes 1138awhp. 3 years and no problems. Runs hard. 1000awhp on pump.

hmm seems like a conservative design but rather classic, i also like that the two inner exhaust pipes are slightly larger in diameter than the outer ones..
btw did anyone notice that the front spoiler design is almost identical (in this case i would say better looking imho) than the speciale?

The nose seems similar to the 458 Speciale, but it looks better here on the Lambo.

It looks like a really nice design, I was actually offered the Last Gallardo Manual Transmission Car ever produced by Lamborghini here in the OC.

It is going to be interesting, but even is if the regular 458 is not as fast, it won't make a difference.
