I was at the Best Buy near the Galleria (610 & 59) and some gangsters burglarized/robbed me in the parking lot. I bought an 32" LCD TV and a Tivo, but the LCD box was too big and it did not fit in my little car. So I took the TV out of the box and put it in my front seat and threw the Tivo in the hatch. I started dragging the big box back up to the front door when I got to the door I turned around and looked at my car. Some guy was in my car pulling my TV out (I screwed up and did not lock it, I know my fault.) and putting it in a van. I started running back to the car when I was a few feet away he was getting my Tivo out and had it in his hand, I pulled my gun out (I have a CHL) and told him to drop it. I thought I had him caught. He dropped the Tivo on the ground and jumped in the side of the van where a driver was waiting. They took off and they got a few second jump on me. I tried to chase them, but they went out the exit on the south end of the lot tword 610/59. It's a blind split, and I did not know which way they took so I had to guess. I guessed they took 610 and went that way, but guessed wrong. They got away.

I called my friend who works for HPD and reported the incident. I met up with him and he did a report. I opted for that instead of creating a scene at Best Buy.

In conclusion, I don't think this was a random act. They were obviously watching the lot looking for a victim. I just happend to make the wrong decison at the wrong place at the wrong time. I did not get a plate # cause they had smeared something on it. So, ya'll just watch your back when making purchases in the area.
It was two hispanic males, driving a red Astro van with faded paint. No tint on any of the windows. I would bet big money these clowns live in the area. They better pray I don't run into them again. Cause Im going to beat the F**K out of them Steven Seagal style.

    "Yo, homie. That my TV?"

Wow, thanks for the warning! I live nearby, and shop there from time to time....

We gotta watch our backs in this crazy town.

I would've shot 'em in the leg, or at least shot their tires out!!
Why else would I carry a gun?

Hey. Where were the cops ?

Were they writing tickets for no front license plate ?

    or

Perhaps they stopped someone because the Texas portion of the plate, was obscured by a frame ?

They were probably sitting under the 59/Weslayan turnaround trapping people and checking for expired tags as usual.

Shoot, the cops aren't going to hang around in the parking garage, they might have to do something---like stop a robbery!! Much easier to issue a citation and less paper work. Sorry to hear about the loss. Glad to hear you have a permit to carry. If more people had those, maybe just maybe that kind of punk might think twice about pulling that sort of stunt off. Too bad you didn't put a slug in him.
