There has been multiple threads about garage renovations, new construciton, etc. We've all drooled over CarreraScotts temple! Permits are almost in, construction on my new garage will hopefully begin soon.

Tell me about your lighting... pics if available.
    Fluroscent?
    Any mistakes? Regrets?

    Chat up with member WILLIAMH.........

I'd go with some HID area lighting low bay garage fixtures, with Flourescent PL Lamp downlights at the perimeter for entrance /egress (low ambient level) if it were me.

Then of course you need to aimable MR16 lamps in a downlight or on track, for accenting posters and trophys! The halogens make things "sparkle".....

William can steer you thru the various products available thru Hubble Lighting..;)

    Or write me back........

I went to the newer 4 light flourescent where the normal garage light were, and added 3 small halogen track light systems, with 3 lights each on flexible wands for accent lighting. They were only $39.95 each with bulbs included at Home Depot.

    Good Job, Digman!!!

    That looks great!

Working with the standard ceiling height, you did an excellent job with the fixture selection. I was recommending the HID sources if you had a little taller ceiling and larger area.
