I am in the middle of construction of a new garage and beginning to contemplate flooring options. My intent was to simply use a porcelain tile for my flooring, but wanted to explore other options such as the snap together tiles. Anyone have any positive/negative experiences for specific products or brands of garage flooring options? Thanks!
My preference is for epoxy coating. It's an attractive, durable finish that is a cinch to clean. Tiles look nice but make it difficult to move a floor jack around on. If you don't work on your car that may not be an issue. Race Deck and other snap-together flooring tiles look very cool, but if you drop a small nut or bolt they can drop down into the holes in the tile where you'll never find them. Also, spilled liquids are almost impossible to clean up without pulling up the tiles. Leaves, dirt and other debris can collect in and under the tiles as well. Epoxy coating presents none of these issues, looks great and is maintenance-free, so that's what I'd go with if it were me.

I went the porcelain tile route. Hardness scale 4 (highest). Impervious to anything the cars leak or I spill. Cleaning is easy and never have to worry about refinishing...ever. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
