Spyker C8!
Have a look at this Fifth Gear video of a millionaire's garage: http://youtube.com/watch?v=CKZkx2QDLow
Very cool, I thought it might be a NJP (what's the tracking error on these +/- 3 arc/secs, totally amazing) but didn't recognize the pier. I worked for the Takahashi importer (texas Nautical Repair Co.) in the early 90's. Back then the 150 was designated FCT-150. It was a major deal when we imported the first one. Before we shipped it to the customer, we had a field test in my suburban Houston backyard (using the EM-500 mount). Nowhere near as ideal a viewing site as you but the image was awesome nonetheless. The polar ice caps of Mars were white, well more like WHITE! No false color even under far less than ideal conditions. I can only imagine how the FOA would perform at your site. Bah, Astro-Physics junk. Are they still over priced and SLOW to deliver? ;-)
that video was amazing!!! that guy said he hasnt even had the time to try the carrera gt yet! What a loser!
Thanks to everyone who has emailed me requesting more information about "how to" clean and profile (etch) your garage floor to receive a coating. If you have a DIY project in the works, you can receive step-by-step instructions to get you started and read more about this topic at my blog: http://showroomgarage.typepad.com/ If you are thinking about hiring a contractor to install a floor coating, you may also find this information useful. Floor preparation is the most important step to maintaining a beautiful long-lasting garage floor and this information might be helpful to seeking out qualified contractors. Thank you. The dust hasn't even settled yet: two more images showcasing our Vault solid-stainless steel cabinets & tool chests in Ferrari Red with Brushed Stainless trim, Garazzo textured floor and slatwalls. Note how the air hoses are concealed behind the slatwalls. Two flat panel televisions will be installed in each back corners. The left elevation has custom-made pendant lighting to highlight the work area where most of the work on sports cars will be done, with easy access to tool storage. The garage was modeled after a Ferrari garage in Modena, Italy: professional, clean, elegant and organized. Chad, How does the Garazzo textured floor hold up to warm tires, and equipment with steel wheels like floor jacks, tool boxes etc. Is it a liquid that you roll on after cleaning and the concrete? do you need to etch the concrete as well? Doug
Mine looks pathetic compared to some of the fantastic garages on here, it will look nicer when I get it panelled out & painted and get the floor painted Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think you have a great start, looks like a sliding glass dor in there somewhere Not to mention that great Ferrari ! Doug Crall
Its looking a little worse for wear at the mo as I am still in the middle of modding it. Yes I have sliding patio doors at the back overlooking the garden, I was going to put a small office type room at the back but chose not to, first job is the elctrics and the alarm system, and when I get the inside panelled out I will put my Ferrari posters & memorabilia up around the sides
Hello Doug, Here are some general answers to your questions. If you would like more detailed information, kindly call (866-828-5810) or email us ([email protected]) outside this forum. Garazzo is not an epoxy or polyurethane coating. Epoxy has a high failure rate; whereas Garazzo is based on acrylic chemistry, the same technology that Plexiglass is made from (the technology for Garazzo have been in use in both the US and Europe for more than 35 years, mostly in industrial application, bridge repair, etc). It is applied/installed only by trained, authorized, dedicated, professional applicators with over 5 years of successful application experience (we have installers nationwide). Vault does not chemically etch the floor because that is not the best method to prepare concrete for a coating. All Garazzo floors are mechanically etched by shotblasting equipment. Proper surface preparation is essential to ensure adequate bond strength between Garazzo and concrete and shotblasting is effective at removing all bond inhibitors including concrete laitance, sealers, oil and other contaminants. Garazzo has many unique features that distinguish it from other resinous flooring materials, like epoxy. Key benefits include: Garazzo forms a welded bond and will not delaminate from concrete (epoxy is a coating and can delaminate, particularly from hot car tires; Garazzo will not) Garazzo is seamless, impervious and highly resistant to chemical and mechanical abuse. Because Garazzo is an acrylic (plastic), liquids will bead up to make cleaning easy. Garazzo cures quickly. You will be able to drive your car on our floor in just one hour, compared to up to 5 days for epoxy. Garazzo can be customized with a variety of colors and textures (if you want a special color or texture) How tuff is Garazzo compared to epoxy? Lets just say that it is DOT approved for resurfacing concrete bridge decks. You can learn more about Garazzo at www.showroomgarage.com Thank you for your question. Chad
