Now there's no doubt in anyone's mind that this is a true legend. There are only 2 kind of people in the world people who love the GT40 and people who don't know anything about cars.
Now that's just badass. As a commercial Realtor, I've often seen an opportunity or two to buy a warehouse that was in distress. I'm out of room here at the house and it comes down to whether or not I can build a 3 bay on my property or just go out and buy a steel building when I see a good deal. It will cost me +/-$50k to build a climate controlled 30 x 30 garage here vs $100k to buy a 1,500 sf WH. The only thing is I would like to have my cars on site rather than have to drive 10 minutes somewhere else. RMX
I went through the same exercise and decided to build a detached garage next to my house. I ended up purchasing a pole barn from Morton Buildings. They built it in two weeks and I finished it out with custom windows and doors, radiant floor slab, etc. All in, the 26' x60' (1,560 SF) barn cost me around $80K. It's nice to be able to go out there whenever I like. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks. The murals are the garage doors. (Carriage doors) The GT40 is a MKI Superformance with a Roush 302 (injected) and ZF transaxle.
outstanding, nice collection. what is the floor covering, have to do mine so looking at different options /opinions
I thought I submitted some photos here once before, but I can't seem to locate that post. Here are a couple more. The floor is a concrete slab, sawcut in 4'x4' grid, then stained, sealed and waxed. (I do all the dirty mechanical repair work in my old garage, so durability isn't as big an issue) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Love the doors! Inside and out they are absolutely beautiful. My only complaint are the fold up chairs...but what the hell do you care? Congrats, it's beautiful.
i like the idea of the garage seperated from the house, so you can just go down to the garage and just spend time with the cars
Beautiful garage. Nice work. Really a lot of thought there... I live in a deed-restricted community, so this garage (if they would even allow it), would need to be identical architecturally to my house or need to look like it's part of the house. I have not approached the powers-to-be with my idea yet and am thinking about a Plan B should they tell me to get lost. Our association is pretty loose, so they might. I have enough land for it. RMX
Well, here is my contribution. Certainly no marble, waterfalls, etc.. But it was pretty affordable and the car has its own safe little place!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
