from the sounds of it he does drive all those cars as often as he can. Even tho its not what my collection would look like i still respect it. It looks like he took his black card, got ahold of a lap top and just starting clicking and shopping away lol. Glad there are other people out their that would spend as much money on their cars as i would having that much money.

Buying a car for me is like getting a fix to a drug addict.
I need that fix every so often.

Did you polish the floors, they look pretty shiny? It does not seem like you epoxy coated it. Ver nice. What else do you on the oposite side?

Simply polished concrete which is a very durable surface. It's a full shop with enough facilities to maintain and restore our collection, BBQ, and sleep over if our wives throw us out.

We also have a pretty good coffee machine.

Fchat user Webby took that video when I had him come out and visit... something that is unlikely to occur like that again; not webby's fault; but I won't get into the details.

This collector's rhyme and reason comes down to a few things... his tastes are different than "yours"... he grew up racing street light to street light on woodward ave.... and having a thin budget. When his budget expanded, he loved so many of the cars he started to buy them. He focuses on Corvettes; and has about 40 of them, including some very historically relevant Vettes.

Like somebody else said, these cars are almost all drivers; and a few of them (the historically relevant Vette's, drag car etc.) Notice all the battery tenders, and yes, it is very difficult to choose what to drive; sometimes a car hits the spot so well he drives it non stop for a week or two, and puts on a few thousand miles.

they also say if you don't ask you are an idiot :)

that explanation makes sense. thanks for the explanation. i like the older chevy stuff and never have been a fan of any corvette until this years zr1 which seems to be really nice.

I'm glad they are driven. It's gotta be tough I only have 14 or 15 and can never get in them all. Props to him if he can.

That is simply an amazing collection of automobiles, no matter which way you cut it. I literally got dizzy watching the video, as it went on and circled around for so long. I don't think I noticed a McLaren F1 or an F50 in the collection. Obviously money is no object, so I wonder if he has a problem with either of the two, or maybe they are off-site somewhere else.

I should also mention that some cars are bought specifically to re-sell them. 14-15 cars is an amazing feat, no doubt :) Congratulations to you for your success; I hope one day I can come close to achieving that!

One of his new ZR1's is capable of 9.9 1/4 times 50 state legal...

No, there is no Macca F1, or F50 at this time. They are currently cars he isn't striving to own. At least, not at this time.

Assuming money is no object is an incorrect belief. One doesn't amass wealth with wreakless spending.

Guys with great garages....Can you guys recommend a flooring surface that you can jack a car on and drop tools? Also anyone know a "set-up flooring surface" that you can make dead level for setting up race car alignment and scaling cars? I need a surface that looks good but is functional.

Mine is simply polished concrete which is very durable. You can grind it as level as you want to but it's not a surface plate.

Was it Road America where Roger Penske would have a concrete pad poured before the race to work on the cars? After the race it would be torn up.

The word polished makes me want to think it will get slippery when a spill occurs, but then again, probably no worse than many other floor coatings. Can you share any insight in this regard?

I have polished concrete. I love the look and it won't chip and crack like other coatings. It gets a little slippery when wet.
