Indianapolis Indiana (Area). He also has dozen of cars at the auburn cord duesenberg museum which is 2+ hours away from his home. More of his collection is in homes around the country, but his best stuff is here.
Is that Tim Durhams house? If so ive been in that garage when he had that tour last year..... edit: just saw webby's posts so obviously thats a yes. I like the subtle picture of his 540K special roadster!
Bill, you should create a new thread, dedicated for you new garage project. DM18 did that when he was building his, and then finished the thread off when it was done with pics of all the cars in it
Oh, and I think it qualifies to be in the Ferrari Supercars section, being as it will be home to the King of Supercars...
How are there garage doors on each level? I'm interested in architecture and I would like to know how this works.
It is built into a grade change, like a house with a walk-out basement. OH doors are on different elevation views. There is a 3rd level above the cars for a man cave. Theater, bar, etc... The garage doors seen behind the Veyron in Webby's outside pic are on the original attached garage, not the big addition. See the aireal shots to see the layout. Color change on the roof shows the new parts. Car collection has been published in magazines at $15 million. The guy is 46 and self made. Great car guy.
Oh okay, I didn't realize that the aireal shots were of the same house. Just from looking at that footprint I could tell it must be two stories to hold 70 cars.
There is a garage here in Austin that supposedly holds 30 cars. I haven't been able to gain access yet, but I'm trying. The house was still under construction in these photos. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
New race deck floor and new vac. Not sure how much longer I will have this place so these may be some of the final pictures. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I made a little typo. The vintage cars are on the first floor, the exotics are in the *basement* not second level. There's a driveway that leads around to the back of the basement
