These garages are amazing....does anyone know if there is a computer program you can buy to design a dream garage?
I really like those murals! Nice work and a totally different approach from most we have seen! Thanks for sharing Stan
Chelle, That Motion Corvette must have been one mean ride. Probably the fastest production car on the planet at the time. I had a '69 Big Block just out of High School. Got any pics? I still have magazine articles from CARS about the Motion. Rick
This isn't my garage. This is my shop. (I share it with a friend not a commercial establishment for me. His Co. is New Street Motors LLC. Their web site will soon be up listing the cars they have for sale. NY area)
** Thanks Rob for taking the time to post these photos for me. A lady who lives close to me, painted this mural in the spring of 1998. She copied this european scene off a placemat of all things onto the walls in my garage. VERY detailed ... down to the fish in the tank. " The Ferrari Garage" is home to my Harley at this time. There hasn't been a Ferrari in there since May 2001. If she is still painting and interested in doing this again, I will forward her # to you. I see her in Walmart on occasion but haven't talked to her about painting anything else in quite some time. Thx ... FAMILY MAN
like old muscle? I have a '69 ZL1 camaro, by FAR my most expensive car in my collection, diamond restored chevelle, no lie nicest on the planet, all others are compared to it, GTO bobcat conv also if not the nicest at least #2, then '67 impala conv 427, hurst olds, camaro RS, and an olds w-31. they are all currently for sale if anyone is interested.
Tim You have a ZL1 Camero???WOW!! Congrats on a fine peice of automotive history!!...Those cars are legendary with all the hot rodders out there!! I was (and still am) a huge Corvette fan. I owned a Corvette for almost 10 years. I remember reading about the 2 0r 3 ZL1 powered Corvettes they built..and how one ended up in a police auction, because the feds sezied it form a drug dealer or somthing. Back then (1993-4) the sold the car for 500,000k. I imagine those things are worth close or if not over a million now!!
Man, it must be something about Switzerland. When I lived in Geneva, I was constantly amazed at the cars sitting in these dungeons!! Most of the garages look like bomb shelters (err, I guess by Swiss law many actually bomb shelters...). Go cruise through the garage on a Saturday morning (Geneva) underneath Lac Leman, and take a look at those "grocery getters". OT: Ze-Shark... wanna make some money? My wife has been crying about something ever since we left.... Almost all the PickPay stores have a candy from Haribo called "Mega Gummi Saur". Although we have many Haribo candies here, we can't find that exact one in the States. She misses that candy, I miss road trips to Puligny-Montrachet. Interesting, huh? Grab me a few packages and I'll paypal handsomely! (If I can find my UBS account settings, I could probably pay in CHF if necessary)
I disagree with you two gent's assertions - the term for that admirable *look* is Rustique Provencal, where the car is the star. Some interesting extremes throughout this thread - all good.
Yup, We don't wax our cars and store them in dusty bunkers I'll look into the sweets and pm you if I stumble on the merchandise ...
